Description: The main objective of the project was to test sheets of different materials such as Aluminium, Teak Wood and Concrete in the direct shear apparatus in order to understand the impact happening on each sheet’s surface for a load of 200kN(maximum load) and then comparing the surfaces before and after shear using scanning electron microscope at IISC. b. Description: The main objective of the project was to study shallow bedrock sites in Bengaluru using 1D non-linear approach. The results obtained indicated that the shear modulus was an influencing parameter.
