Excellent Secretarial and Customer Service Skills
Beachrover **@***.***
As you will see, much of my background has been secretarial. My Customer Service skills developed when I moved to Florida and joined Unique Wholesale Distributors. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the secretarial field, but I must say the Customer Service time has been a
pleasure. I had been furloughed from my job since March expecting to be called back to work. I just learned on July 2nd that the Showroom I worked from would not be reopening.
Customer Service Representative
Unique Wholesale Distributors - Sarasota, FL Showroom
December 2007 to July 2020
I worked daily with Designers and Decorators to coordinate and order window hardware. I discussed with the individual Designer what might be most appropriate based on the decor and requirements if a home or office. Orders were placed by phone, e-mail and by walk-in to the Showroom. I loved the challenge of keeping up with the ever changing products so I could advise my customers to what would best suit their client. I worked almost daily with the vendors that provided the products that we sold.
Project Coordinator
Superior Specialties Inc. - Bradenton, FL
November 2004 to December 2007
Superior Specialties provided and installed specialty equipment such as bathroom partitions, chalkboards, signs and fire extinguishers. I created all correspondence with Subs and Architects, wrote Subcontractor Agreements, distributed shop drawings to Arhitects for approval, and assisted Subs with monthly pay requisitions. This was a family owned business and they chose to retire.

Handled all secretarial aspects of each construction project. I created Subcontract Agreements, assisted Subs with monthly pay requisitions, submitted shop drawings to Architects for approval, attended on-site meetings and assembled Owner Manuals at the end if each project documenting all approved equipment installed on each project. The Owner of this company dissolved the company and became a consultant.
Administrative Assistant/Project Coordinator
John A. Russell Corporation - Rutland, VT
Prior to moving to Florida, I worked for the John A. Russell Corporation. They were the largest construction company in the State of Vermont at that time. Handled all secretarial aspects of construction projects. Developed Subcontractor Agreements, attended on-site meetings, distributed shop drawings to Architects for approal and assisted Subcontractors with monthly pay requisitions. Took dictation from Project Manager and trascribed correspondence to Architects and Subs. I served as Office Manager until an HR Department was established. In that capacity I interviewed and hired all secretarial personnel. While Office Manager I also continued my job as Project Coordinator.
