Objective: Utilizes lean manufacturing & supply chain concepts knowledge for analysis & problem solving to develop optimal solutions & improve productivity to deliver value to the company with my avid skillset controlling product quality. Education

MS, Industrial & Systems Engineering at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC Aug ‘19 – May ‘21

Courses: Design of Production & Service Systems, Logistics Engineering, Stochastic Models in Industrial Engineering, Modelling & Design of Supply Chain, Engineering Economics Decision making, Statistics for engineers II, Data Analytics for Industrial IOT. BTech, Mechanical Engineering at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai, India Aug ‘15 – May ‘19

Courses: Design of Mechanical Systems, Supply Chain management, CAD/CAM, Manufacturing planning & control, Measurement & control systems, Metrology & Quality Control, Dynamics of Machinery, Manufacturing processes. Work experience

Student Researcher at VJTI, Mumbai Sep ‘18 – May ‘19 Topic: Analysis of Production Flow & Lead Time Reduction using Value Stream Mapping

Designed a future state VSM to integrate proposed future states with supermarket (Kanban) system implementation by identifying pacemaker process. Accurate representation of takt time calculations & material flow rate.

Proposed changes led to an increase in value added time from 0.139% to 0.296%, cutting down planning lead time from 33 days to 15 days.

Measured Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for bottleneck process deploying work-time study methods such as multiple activity charts, for calculations of man-machine efficiency & utilisation. Project Design Engineer at JaiShri Rubber Plast, Mumbai, India May ‘18 – July ‘18

Organized data-driven decision making & productivity tooling in a medium-level manufacturing firm. Process optimization on shop floor at various levels in production line. Familiar with various product types in rubber industry mainly serving HVAC & automotive field.

Design & implementation: Managed to design & implement a fixture using SMED analysis to reduce loading time in vacuum compression moulds using mechanical sieved plates to revamp loading process. Loading time was reduced by 55%.

Process Improvement: Organized a cost & time study for slitting process in order to procure an Automated Slitting machine. Led a cross- functional team of 4; facilitated team to gather accurate costs. Academic Projects

Harvard Business Case - Sichuan Telecom Case study – Network Optimization April ‘20

Managed understock & overstock states by analysing observed demand & realised inventory levels. Tableau data visualization of inventory position to deliver demand insights.

Constructed a Multi-Echelon Inventory optimization solution for a 2 – Stage one to many supply chain network with linear holding costs at a site. Sensitivity analysis for safety stock in determining an optimal service level assuming robust shortage costs was provided. Statistical Learning – Process optimization using Design of Experiments Apr ‘20

Developed strategies to reduce geometrical variability of injection mould process by identifying significant factors using minimum aberration and response surface designs on JMP under a restricted budget access for experimental runs.

Managed to generate a 99.3% accurate response surface using ANOVA & structured experiments. Deployed an optimal range of settings providing a value of 4.22, down from an average variability at 342 & sustaining the overall expenses 47% off the budget allocated. Larsen & Toubro Spare parts Forecasting- Supply Chain Feb ‘20

Selection of demand forecasting model for each spare part using training & test sets. Base stock policy for 9 items at a 95% service level for a given replenishment lead time was calculated involving analysis of forecasting error distributions.

Presented a 9.3% reduction of inventory costs $53,000 for a periodic review in terms of holding & backorder costs using Excel simulation. Statistical Learning - R Programming - Concrete strength Feb ‘20

Performed data transformation techniques to improve model multi-collinearity were used with model accuracy of 91%. Data bootstrapping & cross validation methods were deployed. Importance of water content in concrete strength was calculated using regression concepts. Llamasoft – PharmaCo Case study, Supply Chain Guru X Nov ‘19 – Dec ‘19

Managed to cut down operational costs by 8.9% at $108 million with 99.9% of demand served originally. Actions taken: Increase capacity & close current DC. Analytical use of concepts from logistics engineering course to cut down costs & redundancy in the network. Certifications & Technical Publications
