+ Hand selected from 16 other E-6 to independently lead 18 Marines in support of Customs and Border Patrol to bolster relations and security at the southwest international border of the United States leading to the apprehension of over 150 illegal migrants and over 400 pounds of illegal drugs.

+ Infantry Unit Leaders are responsible for the tactical employment and well-being of 36 Infantry Marines, gear and equipment, and delegation of authority to subordinate unit leaders. + Coordinated the logistical requirement of transportation, ammunition, food, water, and training locations for 5 live fire events maintaining qualifications of 120 Marines.
