M.TECH PROJECT DETAILS:
Title: Design & analysis of dynamic voltage restorer with a battery energy storage system Software: Matlab version7.9
Description: The control and performance of a DVR with a reduced- rating voltage source converter (VSC). The synchronous reference frame (SRF) theory is used for the control of the DVR.Different voltage injection schemes for dynamic voltage restorers (DVRs) are analyzed.
The DVR can regulate the voltage from the problems such as sag, swell, and harmonics in the supply voltages.A new control technique is proposed to control the capacitor- supported DVR. The reference load voltage is estimated using the unit vectors. The DVR applications are mainly for sensitive loads that may be drastically affected by fluctuations in system voltage.
The synchronous reference frame theory is used for the conversion of voltages from rotating vectors to the stationary frame. The compensation of the voltage sag, sell, and harmonics is demonstrated using a reduced-rating DVR.Power quality problems such as transients, sags, swells, and other distortions to the sinusoidal waveform of the supply voltage affect the performance of these equipment pieces B.TECH PROJECT DETAILS:
Title: Switchgear and Protection.
Guidance: Dr.NTTPS, Stage-I, APGENCO, Ibrahimpatnam Description: The study project mainly focused on the switchgear devices used in Power plant. The station has overall capacity of Generating 1760MW Power & Recently 800MW is under survey process.
There are 2 stages in our project mainly H.T & E.H.T Switchgear Systems. 1. The H.T system with rating of 6.6 KV is protected by the Vacuum C.B with rating of V=7.2 KV, I=1.25 KA which breaks the continuity during short circuit currents & protects the equipment connected to UAT’s which provide supply to C.H.P, A.H.P, C.W.P & B.F.P.
2. The E.H.T system with rating of 220 KV is protected by the SF6 C.B with rating of V=1000 KV, I=40 KA which breaks the continuity during short circuit currents and protects the Generator Transformer’s. The H.V & H.C can be measured by means of C.T & P.T with a rating of V=245 KV, I=1600/5A & V=245 K/100V. The Isolator which is Double Break Rotary Type breaks the charging currents & earthen them by earth switches. The Lighting Arrestor arrests the high currents which enter into the equipment due to lighting Voltages. The SF6 Circuit Breaker is mainly operated by receiving the trip signal generated from Numerical relay with total digitalization technique. INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE:
