●Provides Mechanical Ventilator Support in Intensive exposed are Unit, Neurologic Intensive Unit, Coronary Care Unit, Emergency Department, Cardio Vascular Recovery Room, Cathlab, Operating Room and other Unit.
●Extract and Analyzes Arterial Blood Gas
●Provide and Performs Respiratory Care Modalities
●Performs Suctioning the secretion.
●Performs Chest Physio Therapy with the use of chest percusor
●Performs Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing (IPPB)
●Performs IPV
●Administers Aerosol Therapy as aid to bronchial hygiene
●Administers Oxygen Therapy in patient with hypoxemia to maintain ventilator needs
●Assists in performing safe transportation of ventilator or oxygen dependent patient
●Weaning patients from Mechanical Ventilation
●Verifies all orders in respiratory care against the doctor order prior to administration. Records all respiratory care procedures perform in the patients chart and department logs in an accurate and timely manner.
●Performs all the procedures in strict accordance with approved infection control policies.
●Maintains professionalism as demonstrated by adherence to the time and attendance rules and adheres to the institutional dress code.

Being able to work at St. Luke’s for almost 3 years and a half, I was exposed at the intensive care unit for 3 years and a half and this I believe is an experience where my knowledge in handling patients made me confident. These units are composed of the ICU with 12 beds, NCCU with 8 beds, CCU with 11 beds, PICU with 4 beds and NICU.
