Overall Management of The Payroll and Time and Attendance Team management. Resolve any potential issues that occur, including late receipt of time and attendance reports which may result in the payrolls being processed and paid late.
To develop and implement strategies for the continuous improvement of the payroll service including review of payroll processes and procedures and recommending best practice principles to the Senior Management.
Communicate actively with Operations, HR to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.
Payroll lead relating to all matters on the transfer of monies to employee’s accounts, including communications with Salary Cards of relevant Bank.
Auditing of payroll data on a regular basis including Balance sheet accounts which will include reporting of write offs and reasons for write off.
Manage and guarantee timely disbursement of payroll for approx 500 employees, including fringe benefits, consistent with UAE laws and regulations.
Ensures the payroll processing of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations are accurate and timely.
Determines monthly and year end payroll accruals (relating to vacation, leave ticket, govt. mandated deduction for UAE national, etc.).
Responsibility as Accountant
Timely invoicing of clients and where necessary following up with clients to ensure payments are received on time.
Maintenance of a Fixed Asset Register.
Facilitation of the external audit process including preparation of audit files and liaising with external auditors.
Working closely with the Human Resource and IT departments and ensuring any issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
Booking of Purchase invoices after verification of delivery note, LPO.
Payment to suppliers after reconciling their statement with the ledger.
Updating the cash flow register on a weekly basis.
