Objective

Dynamic and result- oriented General education/EAL specialist committed to including a passion for learning and creating multicultural awareness through teaching the fundamentals of the English language. During my teaching career I have experienced many exciting challenges. In several schools, I initiated a program for a parent support group. In spring of 2020, I self initiated the use of educational software and technology in distance learning. From 2008 - 2014, I was team leader at two schools having responsibility for over 150 students. In 2012, I trained to be a SIOP coach. In 2001, I was one of the first teachers in my school district to be an EAL Teacher Trainer. During the past sixteen years I have gained valuable experience teaching online and working in both International and American schools, at grade levels consisting from Pre-K-10. My classrooms consist of a blend of various languages, ages, and literacy development. I also have experience teaching adults and teaching in a general education classroom.
