Industrial visit:
I visited power grid at steel plant in vizag. Here, I observed bank of thyristors with interconnected grid and incoming & outgoing feeders. In this grid, HVDC back to back interconnected link is used.
I also visited Hindhuja power plant at steel plant in vizag. I observed a lot of system mechanisms such as boiler system, furnace system, generating system, control panel system, feeding system, cooling system, power distribution system. In this power plant, 20MW power is required for only feedback pump motor. Here, the bank of three phase transformer is used because of to give the continuity supply for distributors. To control the power, speed of the generators through the control panel system and it has required a dc supply. The dc supply is produced by batteries. Therefore, 100 lead acid batteries are used in this plant.

Project:
I had done a project in my diploma, named as “AUTOMATIC IRRIGATION SYSTEM”.
I would like to explain about my project in briefly. My project Aim is to run the motor when the land is dry condition, to stop the motor after the land is wetted without wasting the water and time. Here, we are using automation, therefore this system is operated without using man power.
The advantages of my project are:
No requirement of man power.
This system is very helpful for farmers.
I had done another project in my B Tech level, named as “HYBRID VEGETABLE WASHING MACHINE WITH EFFECTIVE WATER MANAGEMENT”.
I want explained about my project in briefly. My project Aim is bulk amount of vegetables/fruits are washed at once within less period of time. This project is needed to removed pesticides and dust particles on vegetables as well as fruits. This system is operating by solar panel and motor. The motor supply is fed from solar panel through a battery and it is coupled with cylindrical mesh. The cylindrical mesh has contains a water tank and collecting waste water tank. And also, feeding system is there in my project which is used to fed the water is pumped back through a filter and a pump motor.
The advantages of my project are:
It is used to any kind of industries such as small scale & large scale industries.
The running cost is low for large scale industries.
