RESPONSIBILITIES IN ELECTRICAL SHIFT ENGINEER

Operation and Maintenance of Power Transformers (230/11KV), (11/6.6KV), (11/0.41KV) & (6.6/0.4KV) Transformers.

Involved in Operation and Maintenance of Circuit Breakers (Vacuum, SF6 & ACB), Instrument Transformers

(CT&PT), Protection & control Circuits, Lightning Arresters, Battery, Battery Chargers etc.

Executed in cable laying of HT cables, Switch Yard, Control Panel Connections, etc,.

Issuing permit works on Power Transformers and feeders to concerned authorities and preparation of various records such as monthly operating reviews, daily log sheets, ERP, different registers etc.

Plan the maintenance works for the Motor and Panels

Trouble shooting.

Supervising all ongoing works at yard and line.

Synchronizing of Alternator with DG and Grid.

Handling on LT motors up to 750 KW, HT motors of 800 KW

Preventive Maintenance of SF6 CB, VCB and ACB

VFD AC drives of up to 250KW (ABB, SIEMENS)

Preventive Maintenance 40 ton EOT crane

Rectifier Transformer and controllers

Handling all the emergencies in electrical operation & Breakdown maintenance

Parameters monitoring & Making generation reports

Monthly Export report preparing for every month.

Preparing of day, monthly report & Trip report for plant stoppage.

Preparing of shut down work Activities and shift schedules.

Maintenance of Lightings and Underground Cables.

Involved in Annual shutdown maintenance with service personnel which includes

Transformer testing & Oil filtration

Motor overhauling work, Switchgear panels work

Relay testing and breaker service
