Physician's Representative
Lakeside Medical - Hainesville, IL
January 2012 to 2018
Lakeside Medical provides private physicians practices with diagnostic testing capabilities and sells medical equipment (Orthopedic Braces) to private physician's practices and distributors throughout the United States. My job duties included generating new leads, adding new clients to grow the company's business, and managing the clients I close. I'm also in charge of providing patient insurance verification statuses to my clients, the handling of all legal agreements, patient referral forms, Letters of Medical Necessity, diagnostic screening tools, distributing patient's reports to clients, and handling medical equipment inventory among other things. I accumulated over 4 dozen clients in a dozen states during my time with Lakeside and generated monthly commissions exceeding 10k. I have a high understanding of Orthopedic DME specifically braces. Back/neck, knee, wrist, shoulder, foot, ankle, etc. I know the hcps or L codes and reimbursements and also know the quality of most brands and prices for distributors and for private practices. My strength is in reaching the decision makers and in providing information that generates interest. Outside Sales Rep. I
SILVERLEAF RESORTS - Aurora, IL
2009 to 2012
Silverleaf is a timeshare company and my job was to work in different venues with high traffic and cold stop prospects with the purpose of selling them a mini vacation package where on that vacation they would hear about the company's timeshare options.
Currently
I moved to Cape Coral, Florida from Wisconsin 1 year ago and have been working as an independent sales representative for a DME company located in the northeast. I enjoy sales and the entire process from prospecting for new leads to closing and I feel I have a knack for it. The reason I am looking for a new opportunity is because I am hoping to find something that is closer to my new home and potentially have an office location to work from.
A little bit more about me
I have over a dozen years in the fitness industry from time as a CrossFit instructor to teaching mixed martial arts, boxing, and bootcamp fitness classes. In addition, I have over 10 years in almost every aspect of the sales environment. I started in the very difficult and competitive environment of face to face timeshare sales. This process was a cold stop, sales pitch, and close. Information was very limited and I relied on my ability to be social and read body language to generate sales. I was very successful and held Bluegreen's number 1 rank in metro market Milwaukee for sales. I spent over 5 years in that environment before craving a new challenge and wanting an opportunity for growth. I accepted a position in medical sales with a company that's primary method of acquiring new business was through cold calling. At the time, cold calling wasn't something I had much experience in however, I became comfortable in a short period of time and developed a successful strategy to reach decision makers and grow my own book of business. In the 6 years of my employment with Lakeside Medical, I went from an intern making 9 dollars an hour working 20 hours a week to full time employment and creating a book of business that generated $13,600.00 in a single month and averaging 6 to 8k monthly. Those numbers were only my commission portion of the revenue generated. Lakeside Medical was a very challenging place to work for a few reasons. First, they offered a service of electro diagnostic testing which there is a very tiny market for in the Medical field and second, the reimbursements for their services are continually changing and decreasing drastically as the health insurance industry makes changes. The success I had in that very small market makes me feel very optimistic about the potential success I could have if the opportunity to work in a large market was made available to me. The positive attributes that have made me successful in many different sales environments is my work ethic, drive, determination, and ambition. I am very detail orientated and put maximum effort into learning as much as possible. I recently relocated to Florida, specifically the Fort Myers area and I'm just looking for an opportunity to show my value to any prospective employer. I can provide documentation of my previous mentioned successes if needed. Thank you for taking the time to consider me as in potential addition to your existing team.
