AAA Texas is one of the leading 24/7 emergency roadside assistance provider in US and also provides its members auto and home insurance. The scope of the project involves working on the development and maintenance of the HUON applications in Agile LeSS scrum teams. As an Agile team member, I was involved in the enhancing of the Enterprise Policy Systems based on the business needs.

Responsibilities:

Tasks include design, develop, test and to implement the HUON modules.

Wal-Mart is one of the leading players in the retail market. I was involved in the application development of modules under the backroom. SNE was an agile project that involves around 2000 impacted modules for the store numbers expansion. I played the role of a team Lead for a 15 member team, scrum master and also assisted in project management activities.

This was a data migration project with changes made to the Merchandise Returns and Transfer Management application to move into the new data model. There were around 12 DB2 base tables, 23 master tables and 12 log tables in the new MRTM system to which all the old data needs to be migrated. It also involved business requirements to clean up the existing data for referential constraints.

Nationwide utilizes the third party Insurance Services Office (ISO) to provide rating guidance for its Commercial Property products. ISO has announced revised rates and rules that will go into effect and the scope of the project involves necessary changes to be made in the system and screens to be complaint with the ISO 2011 rating guidelines. The project also continued as phase 2, in which agents were added to the new regions.

Preparation of the construction details and CICS screen designs

Client : Guardian Life Insurance Company

Duration : Jan 2007 – Dec 2007

Role : Team Member – Level III

Description:

Guardian Life Insurance Company (GLIC) handles Individual and Group business. The ZEUS application handles the Group Insurance business of GLIC. There are about 700 to 1000 business users for this application. The system handles 4.53 million policyholders (Members) involving 120,000 group policies. The scope of the project involves enhancement and maintenance of Plan and Member details, rating and premium calculation, billing and accounting and applying payments, calculating agent commissions, sales rep compensations and reporting, for the Guardian Group Insurance Business.

Responsibilities:

Impact analysis and detailed design document preparation.

Coding and Unit testing. Elicit the business requirements from clients for job reports design.

Perform code merge, production implementation and support

Exclusive domain knowledge of the applications. Review all deliverable documents

The client is a large US Fortune 500 health-care organization, which provides insurance services. I was part of the support group of many time/business critical applications, providing a dedicated 24 by 7 production support.
