WORK EXPERIENCE

Learn and Play, Montessori Children’s House, Jenkintown Day Nursery, Fort Washington, PA. Vice President, Human Resources (October 2018 – Present).

Responsible for all HR functions for a team of 300 employees and 15 centers at 3 different organizations in Montgomery County.

Designed and developed high functioning HR department, both internally and externally facing. Established positive relationships with all levels of the organization and vendors.

Managed HR operations developing initiatives including performance management, compensation, staffing, employee engagement, organizational development and legal compliance.

Addressed high employee turnover by redeveloping company compensation and benefits to match industry standards. Reduced Employee turnover by 20%.

Compliance – ensured compliance with federal and state regulations including but not limited to EEOC reporting, OSHA reporting, etc.

Employee Relations – Created a performance management system including a standard operating procedure, refining the progressive discipline process, updating and implementing annual performance reviews and performance improvement plans.

Safety and Risk Management – Created Safety and Wellness Committee which helped boost employee morale. All 3 organizations saw a reduction in absenteeism and work related injuries. These actions lead to a reduction in Workers Compensation premium of over $20,000.

Evaluated Healthcare benefits and managed benefit negotiations. Analysis led to the RFP process for hiring a new benefits broker, and enhanced plan design which has positioned all three organizations total rewards offering to better meet organizational and employee needs.

Montgomery Early Learning Centers, Narberth, PA. Director of Human Resources (December 2015 – October 2018).

Responsible for all HR functions for a team of 220 employees and 19 centers in Philadelphia and Montgomery counties.

Managed a Human Resources team of 3 employees.

Designed and built the HR department framework from ground up. Created 3-year Human Capital Strategic plan and HR Department Assessment.

Evaluated Healthcare benefits and managed benefit negotiations. Analysis led to the RFP process for hiring a new benefits broker, the implementation of a new carrier, and enhanced plan design which has positioned Montgomery Early Learning Centers total rewards offering to better meet organizational and employee needs.

Evaluated and managed Montgomery Early Learning Centers 401(k) plan based on ERISA guidelines. Evaluation led to the hiring of a new 401(k) advisor, development of 401(k) Committee, and new 401(k) carrier which helped reduced plan fees by 50%.

Developed and launched wellness program during first year of employment, resulting in an on-going wellness initiative.

Talent Acquisition – Developed full applicant tracking system and on-boarding process which reduced open requisitions/positions from 75 to 2 as of May 31st, 2017.

Worked with the Operations Team to develop new hire orientation process designed to reduce organizational turnover.

Compliance officer for Montgomery and Philadelphia counties in addressing all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Workers Compensation – Developed process to manage claims which reduced total claims from $150,000 to $2,000 in the past year.

Brightside Academy, Philadelphia, PA. Human Resources Manager. (February 2012 – December 2015).

Responsible for all HR functions for a team of 650 employees and 30 Academies in Philadelphia and assisted with multiple HR functions in the New York region

Managed a Human Resources team of 6 employees.

Worked with the Training Department to develop On-Boarding Process for the Philadelphia region for new employees.

Responsible for Staffing and On-boarding of Head Start Teachers for the Head Start Program
