Reservoir Engineering Executive (Senior);

• Reservoir static and dynamic modelling building, history matching and future performance prediction

• Perform reservoir Engineering studies e.g. study the incremental recovery factor, sweep efficiency using water injection, polymer flooding, WAG flooding, etc. for oil and gas fields.

• SCAL, Hysteresis, capillary pressure data modelling.

• Define the optimum development strategy, water flooding vs chemical flooding planning, well and field management and monitoring e.g. streamline analysis, aquifer study, injectivity effectiveness, uncertainty and optimisation study, drainage matrix, lateral and vertical reservoir conformance.

• Perform PVT analysis, RST, PLT, RFT data, define OWC, zones of interest, regions, compartments, analyse reservoir, fluid properties e.g. relatives permeabilities, Sw, Pc saturation height modelling, heterogeneity, reservoir model uncertainty analysis.

Analyse, interpret available logs and cores, pressure, temperature logs, Reservoir Saturation Tool, production logs, MDT, XPT, RFT, DST, cement and corrosion evaluation logs e.g. CBL/VDL, PMIT, EMIT. Provide well performance monitoring and identify operational challenges (e.g. thief zones, crossovers, low PI) and workover requirements,(Well Integrity) e.g. water shut off, cement squeezing, re-perforation, need for Artificial lift e.g. gas lift, ESP pumps, waterflooding, gas injection, well stimulation (e.g. formation fracturing, or acidizing, identify pre and post well productivity index). • Coordinate between field and Engineering teams with the objective of delivering the field development plan, comply to company QHSE regulations, to best industry practices and to productivity optimisation.

• Supervise, monitor and support field services operations and report to management operational challenges, any loss in production time and its justification, propose lessons learnt to mitigate risks, achieve optimum field operability and reduce operational costs, reduce operational risk to ALARP, enhance the operational efficiency e.g. DST, WL, LWD, coiled tubing services and coring services.

• Plan, develop and implement reservoir management plan (RMP) by executing studies on Hydrocarbon Recovery Technology and injection implementation, operation, (HSE) and risk assessment in accordance with best industry practices and regulatory requirements, comply with Malaysia Petroleum HSE standards in all operations / procedures.

• Maintain, verify and update subsurface database by capturing field inventory, field evaluation reports, data availability, lessons learnt and best practices.

• Supervise and Lead various projects, define project objectives, team members roles and follow up with project progress e.g. D18 field Production Optimisation, Extending Production Plateau phase and reducing operational costs.

• Train and supervise less experienced staff, perform lunch and learn session for technical knowledge sharing.

• Study the application of CO2 sequestration/CCS to Malaysia gas fields; define storage capacity of reservoirs. Define optimum CO2 injection rates. Rank the company assets from highest to lowest feasibility of CCS project. Includes defining CO2 injector wells locations and their optimisation. Uncertainty and optimisation analysis. Model CO2 dynamics in the subsurface and define the optimum development strategy. Reservoir engineering operational support to the drilling team, monitor CO2 injection, wells performance. Follow up with the team regarding the actual vs. planned progress. Meet with Joint Ventures teams for technical discussion, updates.

QatarGas Operating Company Ltd., Qatar 2014 – 2018

(QG is the largest LNG exportation company and operating blocks QG1, QG2 and QG3&4, North Field of Qatar) Reservoir Engineering Consultant (MDDB, CWLDB and e-PMP-2 projects – High Press. High Temp. (HPHT))

• E&P Data quality check/control (QC) and edit for all QG Blocks. (Water injection & production wells) Provide petrophysical and reservoir management support; reservoir characterisation, mud logs, composite logs and reservoir testing data evaluation (RST, PLT, MDT, PBU, PVT analysis, etc). Carry out reservoir management studies, analysis & update of reservoir engineering program

• Construct the reservoir 3D simulation model. Upscale and input static, dynamic & intrinsic data ((e.g. relative permeabilities, capillary pressure data) into the reservoir model. Study and model the sweep efficiency of the model. Provide an estimate for the recovery factor, OIIP, GIIP. Enhance hydrocarbon recovery factor by providing optimum reservoir management, production planning and use of up to date technology (tools and softwares solutions).

• Provide optimum injection/hydrocarbon production reservoir systems – by studying the sweep efficiency, updating the reservoir management plan according to previous reservoir studies. Follow up and provide solutions for reservoir or operational challenges.

• Define and quantify zones of interest (effective hydrocarbon interval) using cores, logs and update the reservoir static/dynamic model with new measured/ analysed data, ZOI and share updates with geologists, reservoir and production engineers.

• Perform history matching and reservoir monitoring study: study the production profile of gas, oil and water over time

(modelled vs. actual) and update the reservoir model.

• Characterise reservoir properties, before and after well stimulation; i.e. study the change in reservoir skin factor, permeability change, before and after well stimulation (fracturing or acidizing) operations.

• Support and ensure optimum the Directional Drilling, Geosteering, Well placement with real time petrophysical evaluation/reservoir characterisation of well trajectory, defining the reservoir interval e.g. thickness, markers, deviation surveys, resistivity, porosity.

• Support defining the geomechanical earth model of the reservoir with borehole stability analysis, Leak-off test, pore pressure analysis, geological, geomechanical, geophysical, mineralogical/lithology data.

• Support the field development plan implementation onsite to extract the maximum hydrocarbons from the reservoir

(maximize hydrocarbon production).

• Well integrity logging and evaluation: Cement bond log, Variable Density log, corrosion log, leak detection tools

(ultrasonic tool, USIT), noise filtration and temperature tools; to identify well integrity challenges that would require operational updates such as workovers / sidetracks.

• Identify subsurface challenges, evaluate risk using the Risk assessment matrix, decide on optimum mitigation, reduce risk to As low as reasonably possible (ALARP). Adhere to company QHSE regulations and industry best practices.

• Production optimisation, extending the life of the reservoir by identifying subsurface challenges then deciding on updates to the field development plan and petrophysical model, study or procedures. Integrate all acquired data in the analysis, to provide precise reserve estimation, well planning, modelling, well placement (e.g. infill drilling) optimum, for optimum decision making for the field.

• Define all petrophysical measurements and design field (WL and LWD) logging programs, support acquisition and data processing to provide the company with better quality data and interpretation reports.

• Provide onshore and offshore support and subsurface analysis for wireline, MWD, LWD programs.

• Carry out field visits to support field engineers with petrophysical and reservoir analysis.

• Provide well performance analysis using logging data; Open Hole, Cased Hole, Rush and Final ELAN, defining the saturation height function, acquisition documents, processing reports, and technical Reports.
