Duties &Responsibilities

Ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan, Environmental Plan, Work Method Statements and HSE Legislation.

Assist with delivery of safety and environmental toolbox talks to the workforce together with the site supervision.

Identify unsafe conditions on site and in coordination with the Production Team rectify them.

Stop works when there is an immediate danger or hazard to the health and safety of a worker.

Encourage the workforce to work safely and demonstrate good safety behaviour.

Carry out daily site inspections of all welfare and site areas to ensure that safety standards are being maintained.

Advise the Production Team on Safety Matters.

Implement corrective actions for deficiencies identified during site audits.

Perform trainings for site personnel as required.

Weekly inspection of Fire Extinguishers.

Coordinate and organize mock drills such as Emergency Evacuation and Emergency Response Drills as per schedule.

Verify compulsory documents (certificates, licenses...) of heavy equipment, mobile plant and machinery & operators.

Ensure that handling & storage of hazardous substances & goods are done in a controlled manner and in accordance with MSDS (COSHH).

Ensure that hoisting & lifting operations are done as per approved procedures.
