Scope of role: Orders, follow and ensure the availability of all essential engineering materials; and the organization, inventory and maintenance of Engineering Store.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintenance of engineering store and ensuring essential items are never out of stock.

To ensure adherence to the internal and external communication guidelines in company ethics.

Raising and follow up of purchase requests through the relevant systems and coordinating with purchasing department for the same.

Follow up with supplier for delivery on time.

To ensure minimum and maximum stock levels are reviewed to reflect market availability.

To give a regular update to engineering management on the status of the important and urgent materials ordered.

To ensure the movement, disposal and addition of assets (capitol and otherwise) is updated as required within the CAFM system and company policy adhered to.

To ensure inventory levels are reflected correctly in the relevant systems.

To ensure items procured adhere to the engineering minimum standards in relation to safety and quality.

Receiving items through purchase orders only and ensuring that they meet the quality & quantity as specified in the purchase order.

To inform engineering staff of deliveries which are required to complete outstanding jobs.

Storing of the received items in a proper and logical order.

Issue stock to colleagues only on the basis of a work order and form accordingly authorized by a team leader.

Performing regular inventories to ensure the accuracy of the stock in hand.

Ensure all documentation used is controlled and correct version.

Prepare Sole Source Justification & Purchase Justification Forms and submission of the same to the Manager for further approvals.

Preparation of MSDS sheets of hazardous items in stocks at the end of the month and same to be submitted to the coordinator.

Making Monthly engineering store reports.

Be familiar and comply with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes and procedures.

Contribute to the hotel’s profitability by ensuring the compliant to the hotel’s environmental policy and buildings environmental controls and energy conservation systems at all times.

Any other duties as directed by the management

Ensuring all food hygiene and health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to and implements any legislation as required by UAE Law
