Working as a Project Coordinator in Network implementation department (NI Core) in Nokia
Siemens Networks Company on Broadband project [2G & 3G] for customer Zain. I was

Installations & Field Support
Responsible for carrying out equipment installations in STC exchanges in the Central, Eastern
and Western regions. Tasks included supervising a team of technicians for the complete
installation of equipment, data and power cables, configuration of nodes, synchronization with
main network, linking customers with main network using HDSL links, establishing Data
Collector and NMS services for STC Data Center.
Operations & Maintenance
Providing 24 hr on call support as a part of the O&M contract with STC. Supported networks in
Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam for all networks including IAS, X.25 and DSLAM. Tasks included
implementing new CWOs, troubleshooting equipment failures, installing new equipment,
upgrading nodes, synchronizing E1s and STM-1s, testing customer links for ADSL connectivity
and other activities.
NATIONAL ENGINEERS (1st Jan 1997- 10th September 1999):
Network Engineer at M/s National Engineers, Pakistan. Major activities performed are as
follows,
PTCL (Pakistan Telecommunications Company Ltd.)
Worked on Cross Connect project of PTCL's in country wide, involving about 300 sites. I was
responsible for the installation and commissioning of the equipment till the handover to the
customer.
Oil Companies
Installed and configured Newbridge Frame Relay 3608 for connectivity of Data and Voice from
Karachi City to the remote sites of the oil companies. The project enabled the client to run
TCP/IP data applications and 8 Kbps compressed voice all on the same link. Major companies
like Union Texas Petroleum, LASMO Oils Pakistan etc.
ISPs
Installed and configured Newbridge 36100 Remote Access Concentrator for all major ISPs in
Karachi. Integrated the access server with the local network of the ISP and installed all necessary
cabling and accessories. Also installed and commissioned HDSL links between local telephone
exchanges and the ISP to carry E1 (2 Mbps) for Internet access. Equipment used was Schmid
Telecom HDSL modems.
