I am an Environmental Engineering Graduate (was working as Environmental Engineer-I at North Oil Company as last assignment) with 25 years of experience in managing the environmental/sustainability and regulatory / permit issues of exploration & Production, Refinery, Petrochemical and Chemical companies of both Operations and Projects. I am also a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 & OSHAS 18001 and have been involved in the Environment Management System (ISO-14001) certification of the companies I have worked with. I have practical experience in Effluent/ Sewage Treatment Plant operations, Air Quality monitoring for stack and ambient environment, and management of Hazardous/ general solid wastes of operating companies and their projects. I have also been involved in Land and Marine oil spill response/ management.

I have experience of handling oil & gas issues for both onshore operations (Gathering Centre, Tank Farm etc),and offshore operations of Single buoy mooring (SBM), Jetties and sea island. I have worked in Reliance Industries Ltd (Refinery Division)-world’s largest refinery and petrochemical complex since its project phase, and have been responsible for development of its Environmental Procedures and specifications/ guidelines Viz. Air, Wastewater, Solid waste etc, and subsequently for its ISO-14001 certification. I have also been instrumental in getting EMS certification for 3 refineries of Kuwait National Petroleum Company. Currently, I am working in KOC, exploration & Production Company of the state of Kuwait, managing the environmental issues of its operations and projects.

I have delivered environmental awareness & related training programs on ISO-14001, Solid waste etc for the employees. I am also actively involved in audits/ inspections to ensure compliance. As a routine activity, I involve in environmental monitoring / sampling & testing. I also participate in incident investigation/ close-out, where necessary.

I work to provide guidance, advice and assistance on all aspects of environmental and quality management to achieve the environmental goals and objectives of the Company. I support & advise all Company Divisions in the identification of environmental hazards, evaluation of risks, and the development of controls to manage these risks to an acceptable level. I have also been involved in managing the environmental issues of various construction projects in the aforementioned companies.
