Program Manager – Hitachi Automotive Systems (Farmington Hills, MI) July 2016 – March 2020
Direct all aspects of program development for automotive shock absorbers from award through PPAP and SOP.
Managed multiple development programs, while responsible for production programs & change management.
Developed and launched one program with forecasted lifetime sales of $20M. This program met customer’s timing requirements and exceeded internal target for profitability.
Led development of programs with forecasted lifetime sales of $30M & $38M.
Created critical path flow chart of PMO’s Program Development System to streamline PM processes.
Helped establish the Program Management department for Hitachi Automotive Systems – China. Then served as leadership support for China while working in US.
Program Manager – Montaplast of North America (Auburn Hills, MI) September 2014 – May 2016
Lead development for injection molded automotive powertrain components from customer RFQ to SOP.
Held customer open issues meetings. Maintained company input to customers.
Led internal cross-functional meetings. Regular reporting to internal management.
Planned tooling trials. Coordinated with plant to monitor production results, reviewed with designers for needed changes, and worked with tooling group to update molds and equipment.
Manage and implement internally- and externally-driven engineering changes.
Project Engineer – G&G Industries, Inc. (Shelby Township MI) August 2006 – September 2014
Administer full product lifecycle of compression molded automotive interior trim components.
Process creation using full APQP techniques. Compiling and submitting PPAPs.
Commercial and design interactions with tooling suppliers (molds, dies, assembly fixtures, check fixtures) to develop parts that meet specifications for timing, quality, cost.
Implement insert molding process on a program to reduce scrap 50% and reduce weight approximately 10%.
Supported expansion of mold capacity from three to five and then to eight presses during my employment.
Assembly line and robot setup and trouble shooting.
Launched nine production programs for four different customers.
