ACTIVITIES
As a member of a strong advocacy driven family. I have always been interested in pursuing passions that help my community. Whether it be disadvantaged youth, minorities, individuals dealing with mental health or substance abuse, I have found great joy and privilege helping those in need. Volunteering at the Richmond Rescue Mission, serving those in need with my family during the holidays, being a part of the Big Brother Big Sister organization and serving as one of the founding members of the Blackboard, a non-profit organization that aims to help underprivileged and minority youth receive quality education and support within the school systems. After working many years in an inner-city Emergency room, I realized I could better serve those in need by furthering my education. Upon the bankruptcy and unfortunate closer of the hospital, I went back to school and obtained my bachelors in psychology so that I could effectively help those in need.
