State of Kansas – Remote: November 2019 to March 31st 2020 (Contractor through Insight Global & DXC)

Quality Assurance Manual Tester (Due to Covid-19 some of the team was cut so Kansas could reallocate money towards their citizens)

Project is a total revamp of the State of Kansas’ Medicaid Systems that DXC needed to bring on 16 additional testers.

Take requirements, turning into test plans and test cases for use within ALM (Quality Center) for module 5 (Management & Administrative Reporting, Drug Rebate, & Third Party Liability areas of the Kansas Medicad Portal).

Test lead on 2 modules within the Medicaid project. Leading daily meetings, mentoring team members, relegating tasks, reporting to management on progress.

Test execution is being performed in test iterations, ie: SIT 1, 2, 3, 4 etc.

Performed Internal Review of teams test cases before marking them for External Review by the State of Kansas within ALM.

Detailed defects created including steps, screenshots, back-end log files/captures, are put into ALM for tracking, retesting/reporting.

.Net UI front end, utilized Oracle DB for simple select queries with some joins for report validation. Testing is all manual.

Insight Global Testers project ended March 31st due to reallocation of funds from Kansas towards COVID-19 social programs.

Quality Assurance Tester

Temp QA fill in while someone on maternity leave to validate data was correct which was being sent to 3rd party vendor for the marketing database which would then come back to EF. These data validations were done with database schema, then using the XML and JSON files to verify data was correctly being passed to the 3rd party. Verification also consisted of using Toad, MySQL, and MS SQL Server to query the various databases.

Sr. Quality Assurance Tester (Partial Test Lead)

Part of Cushman & Wakefield’s integration testing and simulation testing team; project was ensuring data from imported deals from AS400 to SFDC (Salesforce Cloud), Workday, and Callidus flowed correctly and accurately within a 3% variance.

Compared converted data against the various systems checking for accuracy, deals, balances, payments, etc.

Checked files generated from Callidus to SFTP drop-box to spreadsheets of deal splits and broker payments were correct.

Created test cases based off C&W's requirements, utilized Toad for SQL queries and analysis from Oracle database.

Created defects when they arose and kept track of them, retested when marked for retest. Defects were tracked in Sharepoint.

Kept track of what was in the pipeline, and what was still needed from the development team, and testing concerns/and progress of project via excel.

Became Test Lead on Validation testing phase when brought off UAT. Lead 2 resources off shore. Hand offs detailing what I had competed during my hours, along with any defects found, resolved, and direction on what to do for their hours. Would touch base with them in the evening when they started their day, as well as brief call in morning to receive the hand off from them.

Tested across many applications/projects within T-Mobile's internal network, NOC applications, Customer Call Center Applications, SQL queries, Integration testing, Browser and Mobile device testing, browser compatibility testing using BrowserStack. Unix back end for verification, checking log files, and processes, as well as verifying configuration files were correct using the VI Editor.

Authored and modified, and executed functional and UAT test plans and test cases for new collections litigation initiative between internal JPMC system (CACS) and external system which is utilized by law firms called Enterprise Gateway (SaaS). Application was written in VB.NET

Ensured tests sent through integration between CACS, and another application called Intralinks as expected. Testing was between other Lines of Business to coordinate testing coverage.

Testing is manual; scripts were created in Excel, and uploaded to Quality Center / ALM for execution, modification, linking to requirements, defect entry / tracking and reporting.

Tested the numerous integrations between systems, along with functional and UAT scripts for End to End testing coverage.

Authored and modified, and executed existing complex test plans for Serialized Product Track and Trace production line software and hardware for pharmaceutical companies, along with device driver testing. Systems were Industrialized PC's embedded with Windows XP. Software was written in VB.NET, with Microsoft IIS backend. (Full Microsoft shop). Microsoft SQL Server to perform backend testing with SQL statements, verifying database elements etc.

Senior QA Tester

Worked on customer service billing and eCommerce service application (client/server web based) called STARSS which was the customer service agent application to activate user accounts and radios, add receivers, change service plans, billing, and cancel accounts.

Full cross browser compatibility testing on the front end. Full back-end Unix testing.

The Al-La Carte would offer customers the ability to add XM programming to their Sirius accounts, as well as options to pick and choose which channels to add or remove for a nominal fee. Full end-to-end testing of the “Al-La Carte” feature which was offered when the merger with XM went through.

Worked on customer web site CUWI which is the application which allows a customer to log in, create an account, activate a radio, change service plans, and billing information.

Tracked all defects, and developed test plans and executed test cases for each release.

Testing was web browser based, with Unix back-end testing, Oracle back end database testing, and custom home grown applications such as Customer Center and Pricing Center to verify correct service plans and billing general ledger accounts were billed correctly.

Testing was manual end to end, full Unix (Solaris) back-end testing. Utilized FTP on a daily basis to move files from PC to PC to Server etc. Also had to look at TCP/IP protocols on each application.

Installed and removed packages, edited config files, created new configuration entry files, rebooted machines, verified data on the Unix side, scp files across the machines.

Troubleshooting performance, configuration issues on Unix side.

Worked on various data communication web applications such as Fax2Mail, MessageReach, VoiceReach, and FaxReach.

Led team of offshore QA team for PremiereConnect application, as well as other smaller scoped projects that would arise on an as need basis., up to resources.
