OBJECTIVE

To use my nurse practitioner skills in an office setting that is both rewarding and

challenging.

EXPERIENCE

VDex Diabetes Center- 2/24/20-4//2/20. I was hired at time of the interview to be the Lead NP for what was Dr. Bibi’s endocrinology practice. Vdex would be changing it to diabetes only. The financers are located in Los Angeles and are only focused on the bottom line, not the improvement of the patients’ condition.

Consilium Staffing 1/15/20-2/14/20 Locum company. Took temp assignment working for an onsite clinic for teachers, school corporation, and administration and their families covering family practice, acute care, gyn and DOTexams.

Barton Staffing 12/30/19- worked as locum tenum while looking for another full time position. This one day assignment was for Occupational medicine for Baptist Health in Madisonville.

Orthopaedic Associates 9/9/19-12/6/19- Hired to Develop protocols and implement the first in house Total Joint Replacement program which was named the Surgical optimization clinic. My role was to ensure that all patients that were in need of surgery would be cleared through me and if needed sent for referrals to cardiology, nephrology, or endocrinology etc to reach their goals for surgery prior to scheduling their surgery. This would ensure less risk surgically and less chances for cancellation the day of surgery. This also included the involvement of sleep med, psych; therefore, increasing, payments for the surgeons for the Medicare /Medicaid A and B as well as overall improvement in outcomes when evaluated by the new computer software. Proof of the clinical outcomes will then sell OA as the best provider to insurance companies setting them apart from other local orthopedic offices,

Wellfirst Urgent Care and Family Practice February 4,2019-July 12,2019. FNP cared for walk-in acute care patients from infancy to elderly as well as started to establish my own Primary Care patients. Was part of planning and opening the clinic; however, the partners had a fallout that was unable to be resolved so was abruptly closed after only open 5 months. DOT Examiner passed and have done quite a lot of work comp as well.

LHI-September 2017- prn FNP used as immunization management for military troops. Accept shipment of vaccines and monitor until time for the vaccination event for our troops that may be deployed or for their updates usually health fair activity or assigned event at the local armory for the military men and women. Have the highest clearance of security to be able to document in their health records.

Advance Health October 23, 2017-1/26/19. FNP utilized for home visit health risk assessments contracted by variety of insurance companies including Medicare and Medicaid. Perform fall risk, cognition, and overall general health; furthermore, offering health instruction on medications and using correctly as well as other beneficial health interventions.

Gibson General Hospital March 2016- Sept 2017 Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. Cared for all age groups with chronic and acute health issues. I was also instrumental in obtaining just recently a rural health status for our clinic which was a first for Gibson General. I started in the hospital primary care clinic and I have work alone in the Fort Branch clinic for one year since the separation of Gibson General with their prior provider from that site. I also dispense routine wellness meds via Doc Rx program and provide wellness program for all of the South Gibson School Corporation. I pride myself in education and wellness.

Deaconess Hospital: Nurse Practitioner Lead for Office of Critical Care Pulmonology Jan 4,2016- March 2016.

Nurse Practitioner Urgent Care –Feb 2015 –Jan 2016 Hired full time.

Acute care, minor cyst removal, toenail removal, foreign body removal, suturing, splinting, ordering of labs, X-rays, diagnostic studies, physicals for school, sports, and pre-employment. Patients ages ranged from infants to elderly. Covered for the Flanders and Red Spot Occupational clinic on site as well.

Decatur Vein Clinic, Nurse Practitioner, November 2002- Feb 2015

I had the pleasure to open the Terre Haute clinic for Dr. Decatur then open the Evansville Clinic for him as well. I worked autonomously performing consultations, history and physicals and reviewing the results of the ultrasounds with patients. I also performed access for the Endovenous Laser Treatments; furthermore, I did the follow up ultrasound guided sclerotherapy in the office. I performed spider vein treatment. I was the office manager in charge of the office physical needs working with the landlord, hiring and firing of employees as needed. I arranged for office to be cleaned, general maintenance etc.

Tri-Cap, Nurse Practitioner 2000-2002

I travelled 4 counties for Tri-Cap doing women’s health prevention via pap smears, STD evaluations, Breast Exams, pregnancy testing and counselling, treatment of STD’s and birth control provided

St. Mary’s Medical Center, Nurse Practitioner, Senior Health Center 1998-2000

I worked for St. Mary’s first out of school. I cared for the elderly 65+ patients through this office and also helped see patients at the nursing homes. The job was eliminated because of billing issues. I don’t think they were quite ready for NP’s at that early stage and especially billing to Medicare.

Prior to this I worked for St Mary’s in the Operating room for almost 9 years in both circulating RN and scrub nurse capacities. I was charge RN on weekend option for the 3 years while I worked full time and went to school full time for my MSN
