July 2016 to Oct 2016

(SAP Data Migration Lead) REV Group Milwaukee, WI

Involved in leading the stabilization of the data migration processes, including fine tuning the processes/programs/methods used to load data. Validations/error logging/run statistics/reconciliation strategy were all implemented in a structured way to move the team away from a reactionary mode to a pro-active mode, to successfully hit the next planned go-live date.

Made a decision to move away from BODS to LSMW, in consideration of the short time involved between the roll-out’s (usually a few months), & also the objects/volumes we were trying to load. We had outsourced our BODS support to an external company, & found that every small tablespace overrun or some other job failure reason needed a 24-hour turnaround time to fix because of the different time zones we were working in, & we were losing valuable time because of this. We moved to building a few LSMW programs (temporarily turning off data loads from BODS – using BODS only for data profiling/cleansing) & delivered all objects in a few weeks & were able to keep the planned go-live date.
