Deputy Commander, Combined Task Force ONE FIVE TWO (CTF 152), Bahrain 2019-Present

Deputy to Royal Jordanian Navy commander of regional task force providing Maritime Security Operations against non-state, illicit actors operating in the Arabian Gulf, such as smugglers, terrorists and pirates.

Oversaw daily operations of a Staff of 41 personnel assigned from eight countries.

Managed planning and execution of daily regional security patrols, monthly Joint Patrols, quarterly Focused Operations and semi-annual Exercises, all intended to ensure freedom of the seas, deny illicit actors and improve interoperability of regional maritime forces. Personally requested to return for a second tour after forward deployment.

Managed up to 26 Navy staff personnel who provided support and training in combat skills and security force operations to over 1200 Navy personnel deploying to Middle East and Africa locations to conduct non-standard operational tasking. Maintained a 98.6% completion rate.

Established curriculum for Security Reaction Force-Basic (SRF-B) at Ft. Jackson to train up to 300 personnel per year in security force operations prior to deployment. Required identifying/recruiting personnel which doubled the size of the organization, identifying and purchasing all required equipment, managing curriculum to take advantage of existing combat skills training in order to cut one week from training pipeline, and working with U.S. Army garrison for training and lodging requirements, all within seven months from inception to full operational capability.

Chief executive of a worldwide deployable, hardware equipped Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Unit comprised of 689 personnel located in six geographic locations.

Oversaw all facets of the organization, to include personnel management, training, logistics, funding, and maintenance, leading to passing scores on seven inspections, and awarding of the top Coastal Riverine Unit on the West Coast two years in a row.

The organization responsibilities included landward and seaward security operations to protect pierside, anchored and transiting vessels which had been declared as High Value Assets.

Managed organizational changes to the command’s structure, increasing manning 27%, to include establishing a first of its kind Navy organization on the West Coast, designated High Value Unit (HVU), to conduct daily protection operations of transiting strategic shipping in San Diego.
