Project: ACI-eTouch

The eTouch application is a CTI client for Cisco’s ICM (Intelligent Contact Manager) call center product. Cisco ICM is central to the overall ACI Routing solution. Routing clients, e.g. a call center ACD, send route requests to ICM to determine the destination for calls. The route request supplies call data obtained through e.g. an IVR to help decision-making at script level. ICM through the use of routing scripts chooses a destination to route the call. The route response is returned to the ACD along with call data updated by the script. The ACD routes the call to the target.

eTouch is deployed as an independent application on the call center agent’s desktop. The agent has some form of unique identification on the ACD. This is dependent on the switch type e.g. agent ID, position ID. Data is directed to the agent’s desktop through the CTI server gateway of the PG. This data contains Call Data

(such as ANI, Call-type, and DNIS) and Call Profile data. The agent can choose to handle the call directly or transfer it to another agent. On completion of the call, the call termination details are created and passed to the central control database.

· Developed Web based application based on .NET framework using webforms which updates the master and child tables required for eTouch setup in the database.

· Normalization of the database like removing redundant fields, removing redundant tables, modifying the tables.

· ETouch application was done by running an exe. Since the environment changes demanded that the product installation package be on MSI (Microsoft Installer), developed a MSI package using InstallShield. Got an e-Award for the same.

· Actively involved in migrating the database from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005.

· Actively involved in writing Test Cases and requirements specifications.

Environment: .NET Framework, C#, Visual Basic, Visual SourceSafe, SQL Server, VB.NET, ADO.NET, Crystal Reports, ASP .NET, Visual Studio, Install Shield, Windows Server 2003, DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange).
