Rural Education Volunteer September 2018-March 2020

Primary Project:

•Teaching English (grammar, communication, listening, speaking, & writing skills) to students in grade 5, 6, and 8. Taught 25 hours per week for 18 months/ 4 terms (total of 1,200 hours of classroom instruction). Classroom size ranged from 60 to 80 students.

•Emphasizing capacity building with teachers to demonstrate how to teach literacy effectively

•Focusing on equalizing genders by empowering women and girls and providing them with life skills and the education needed to achieve economic independence and freedom
