I am volunteering for Big Local charity in Selby. At the moment I am giving computer support to the over 50s, helping them learn how to use a computer and the internet for people who have little or no knowledge. I have also set up a Tia Chi class and I organise day trips once a month to places of interest in the area.

•Using audio typing equipment to transcribe taped interviews conducted at this centre as well as taking on extra audio typing duties for other centres who were experiencing a backlog, typing letters, filing, photocopying and sending emails/faxes.

Cleaning Operative Oct 2003 – Aug 2004

•Working as part of a small team I was responsible for the thorough cleaning of hospital premises; corridors, laboratories, physiotherapy rooms and wards.

•This work involved using industrial cleaning products safely and appropriately; maintaining exceptionally high standards of hygiene and health and safety through to liaising with ward and hospital staff to ensure that work was carried out to set deadlines and targets.

•Responsible for the supervision of a small cleaning team working within a family run hotel; duties included:

•Organising time sheets and staff rotas,

•liaising with staff to organise holidays making sure that duties were covered
