PROJECT NAME: Assessment of all Processes in Admission and Billing Department, Establish full proof process and SOPs with suitable controls.

ORGANIZATION: PD Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, India.

DESCRIPTION: To understand the existing process in the admission, billing and discharge, assess the compliance to the SOP’S and protocols, provide solutions to the challenges which would make the process efficient and robust with suitable control mechanism.

PROJECT NAME: Gap–Analysis for the Compliance of Blood Donation Process w.r.t NABH Standards in the Blood Bank.

DESCRIPTION: To understand the functioning of blood donation process. Do root cause analysis, advise corrective and preventive action on routine basis, compare the compliance of blood donation process standards with those laid down for blood banks by NABH, suggest improvements for fulfilling the requirement of accreditation, analyse the blood donors satisfaction with the current donation process.


•Made sure on the availability of phlebotomist during the time of donation.

•Made sure to maintain standards.

•Recommended proper shifts of the staff to be maintained to avoid multi-task at reception desk and also avoiding long waiting time during the process.

•All one-time donors were made aware that repeated donation at a proper gap of 3months is an absolutely healthy practice so as to increase voluntary donation.

DESCRIPTION: To assess overall utilization of operation theatre, factors affecting the utilization (cancellation and delay), and recommend suggestions to improve its utilization.

Made sure the housekeeping staff avoided any delay due to cleaning process.

Made sure on the consent form, be filled before the day of surgery and checked by staff nurse.

Made sure the ENT patient be admitted 2 hours before the schedule time of surgery.


PROJECT NAME: Gap Analysis about the Awareness in Case of Fire among Nursing and House- Keeping Staff, (part of JCI Audit)

DESCRIPTION: To study the awareness among staff in case of fire.


Maintain effective working relationship with nursing, housekeeping staff, laundry incharge.

The data for 121 staffs including staff nurse,nurse incharge, housekeeping, general duty assistant, laundry incharge, assistant nurse were included for the study.

Out of total 121 cases, observed 55% were compliant, 36% were partially compliant, 9% were non-compliant.

Ensured proper compliance among the team, resulting in 90 % compliance after the JCI audit
