I was assigned initially to an offshore production facility located in the Red Sea responsible for the operation of two oil and gas production fields. Later I was transferred to Syria where I was responsible for the operation of five onshore oil and gas production fields. Duties include:

Ensuring that production rates meet the required quality and quantity set by the company

Preparing operating budgets and ensuring that operation remained within operating budget.

Managing 24 personnel (multi-national).

Ensuring personnel complied with safe practices and operational standards as set forth by the company and were trained to those standards. Previous Experience: I started my career in the refinery and petrochemical industry in the operation departments of the Nasr Petroleum Company in 1962. While I was employed at the Nasr Petroleum Refinery I completed my studies at the Suez Technical Institute receiving a Diploma in Refinery and Oil Operation.

Through my successful career I have worked primarily in the Gulf and Arab States for major refineries and oil & gas production facilities. During this period I was promoted several times starting off as an operator and working my way up to the Assistant Operations Manager position.
