Major Achievements

The Chevron Oil Nig. Ltd (downstream) Underground storage tanks removal project of 2006 - 2008 nationwide was handled by Osa Environmental Services Nig. Ltd. In terms of environment and safety it was a huge success since there was no fatality, no lost time injury nor environmental impact from inception of the project to the end, and I was the team leader in HSE.

I also participated in the EIA study of Horneywell oil and gas lube plant and it was successfully conducted, pass through the process of hearing and was presented and accepted by the Federal Ministry of Environment of Nigeria.

I was also part of the HSE Team that successfully implemented HSE policies and monitored project activities during the construction phase of Dangote Fertilizer plant which ended without fatalities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Report to the SHE Manager

Develop JSA/JHA for all new jobs towards ensuring a better understanding of the inherit risk associated with the jobs and controls put in place to reduce risks to ALARP.

Carry out daily inspection of the work site to identify hazards and to devise a safe method of working to ensure nobody gets hurt in operation

Conduct induction training for new intake and indentify training need for the exiting workers (re fresher, skill base or job responsibility changes.)

Inspect heavy equipment to ensure there are duly premob by third party agent and certify fit for use before been put to use at the site
