Selected Accomplishments

Assessed, turned around, and raised capital for an early stage company. Formulated and led a path to positive cash flow. Raised bridge financing. Reoriented an excellent technology company to focus on the customer. Executed a successful venture capital raise.

Delivered $100M in back office savings for a global transportation firm. Global firm had higher SG&A expenses than main competitor. Developed a Business Services concept and won a competitive RFP bid for KPMG. Created roadmap to reorganize and reduce back office costs with an accelerated path to value realization.

Implemented ERP system and Sales and operations planning process to monetize $10M of inventory. CEO of CPG firm wanted to free up cash for shareholders. We developed a plan, a process and supporting systems (ERP, sales forecasting, production scheduling, inventory management). Successfully converted $10M of inventory to cash while maintaining sales and customer service levels.

Played key role in an IPO for a software organization. Planned the IPO process. Built the team. Prepared the required financial information. Conducted three years of audits. Prepared significant portions of the S-1. Worked through risks & solutions with management and investment bankers.

Built and led the KPMG Atlanta Advisory Business. Starting with a small team. Quickly built a $25M information security business. Expanded role to lead and built KPMG Advisory in Atlanta and then across the Southeast. Built a $120M top line business across multiple disciplines in advisory and consulting services.

Captured $20M+ in synergies during post-merger integration. Private equity-owned manufacturer closed on a large acquisition. For KPMG, planned a value added approach to integration rather than just status reporting.

Turned around “failed” ERP implementation for auto parts manufacturer. Client had issues post -ERP implementation. Found execution level management had “worked around” the new system, creating serious inventory and customer issues. With process change, communication, visibility to information, we balanced production schedules to sales fulfillment to inventory to save $50M.
