Having recently & permanently relocated from Canada, I am seeking an exciting new opportunity to contribute locally and resume my career. The responsibilities & requirements described for the “Project Engineer (9091350)” role is particularly aligned to my past experiences, continuing passion and interest in seeking an engaging combination of projects, human interaction, operations and site work.

With commendation, consistent demonstrated high work ethic, organization, attention to details, broad and extensive EH&S, technical test and lab facility operations and team management experiences over two decades, I was empowered to lead & tailor AVL-FCC’s new office and hydrogen test lab construction project. Until this past December, I researched for & generated project documents including the requirement, WBS and schedule to enable appropriate office and hydrogen lab life safety, HVAC and MEP design by drawing upon my past expertise from test, equipment design, operations, lab facility service and from knowledge of standards like ASME, CEC, NFPA, ISO, ASTM, WorkSafeBC and the local AHJ. Reflecting upon this one year experience, I realized a new fond interest in construction by combining my continued strength in planning, scheduling and competence for projects which I feel makes me a great choice to fill the vacant job position.

As a Test Engineer, I became fluent in MS Office Suite including MS Project and PLM software like Agile & Teamcenter to support corporate policy and process compliance and enable revision control of corporate documentation assets such that know-how would be protected and available to others. Documentation I created, reviewed and presented included comprehensive procedures, training guides, schedules, weekly updates, meeting minutes and test reports. My transparent communication in combination with timely test reporting and invoice reviews and prompt solutions to challenges for customers regarding projects and product orders enabled multi-million dollar revenue, cost savings and key corporate milestones to be achieved and garnered myself peer & management accolades.

Recognized for my on-going leadership, meticulous nature, consistent high performance, adaptable and team-first attitude, my inter-department collaborations & responsibilities within functional and matrixed organizational teams at Ballard and AFCC increased, evolved and changed to cover new and expanded roles. Implemented & launched new processes for preventative & reactive service of 40-50 complex automated test stations to improve inventory management, equipment change order services, faults & troubleshooting tracking that also encouraged continuous improvements, transparency with customers & empowered team members to challenge the status quo resulting in more than 20 custom design & build projects & 1000+ equipment upgrades & repairs in 8 years.

Generated requirement documents to engage suppliers & contractors for solicited quotations, bids for facilities construction services & maintenance or for projects & which doubled as a reference checklist that improved quote quality & decreased ambiguity in expectations thus achieving higher customer satisfaction at sign-off before product & services delivered.

Over a dozen projects with average of $1.5M combined value were controlled annually to within or better than 10% of total budget request through monitoring of internal & external relationships & activities for risks.
