PROJECT ENGINEER, AL-JABER ENGINEERING, QATAR (AUG. 2015 – MAY 2019)

Involved in Design and Build of New Orbital Highway and Truck Route Contract 3, Cost: (USD) 1,687,000,000. Scope: The New Orbital Highway is a 57 km road connecting 5 main Interchanges, 4 grade separated clover leaf type Interchanges and 1 grade separated junction, comprising 24 bridges, 18 braiding structures, emergency exists, bicycle underpasses, protection of QP pipelines and other major utilities.

From February 2017 to May 2019: Worked closely with all levels of management, engineers and field operations staff to finalize and streamline the handover process which involved closure of NCR's, snags, outstanding works and SOR's. Coordinated with supervision consultant AECOM and client ASHGHAL RMD to arrange handover inspections, finalizing redlines, as-built drawings and Operation Maintenance manual.

From August 2015 to Jan 2017: Worked as execution engineer and successfully finished mockup bridge, main bridges, ramp bridges and truck underpasses. Supervised excavation, foundations construction, waterproofing, backfilling, abutments & pier columns, bearing plinths, bearing shelves, stem walls, approach slabs, counterbalance slabs, Freyssinet MSE walls, VSL precast bridge segments and MAURER expansion joints.

PROJECT ENGINEER, UNIVERSITY OF LAHORE, PAKISTAN (JAN. 2013 – JUL. 2015)

Supervised the construction of Engineering Block-1 &2, biogas plant, swimming pool and teaching hospital with KIRBY structure, computer science department building, mosque, pavilion, link bridge, hostel extension, roads, auditorium, CSSD kitchen and underground facilities, including service ducts for IT network, manholes, stormwater drainage and sewer network. Cost: PKR 722,000,000.

•Assisted Project Director and managing multimillion rupees projects initiated by the university.

•Provided physical facility planning guidance for new structures, plans and specifications working within the scope provided in the Campus Master Plan.

•Ensured the quality of construction by direct supervision, and led the team of engineers, supervisors and quantity surveyors deployed in main and sub campuses.

•Performed budget monitoring and trend tracking, reviewed and approved bids, contractor's invoices, claims, change orders and engineering audits of sub campuses.

Responsible for various EPIC activities inside O&G plants including EPIC of OSGP work for 2012 shutdown at ORYX GTL, EPIC of new facilities at crude oil Tank Farm in Qatar Petroleum, Supply and installation of power and lighting cables to the new Warehouses and lay-down area at JBOG Port site Qatargas, Construction, installation & commissioning of “collection, storage & transfer of waste water” system in QAFCO.

•Reported to Project Manager and responsible for execution of all structural works involved in shutdowns inside the live plants.

•Handled overall activities including setting out, excavation, reinforcement, formwork, getting pre-pour approvals, concrete pouring, protective coats and miscellaneous works adhere with safety and quality.
