Associate Project Manager at Aurecon Group

Dubai Expo - Convention and Exhibition Campus – Project Management support to the Project Director with respect to the day to day design and management activities on the new Exhibition complex for Dubai World Trade Centre as part of the Expo project. Senior Project Manager at Majid Al Futtaim Properties Responsible for the Design and Construction Management for the Carpark expansion project at City Centre Mirdif. The project was the construction of a new 67,000 m2 reinforced concrete carpark deck over a live carpark as well as the construction of a 2,500 m2 new prayer room on the Mall Roof.

• Worked with the Development Director in defining the project scope and deliverables.

• Planned/Co-ordinated the design process from Concept, through to authority approvals as far as project award

• Responsible for the planning and management of the Tender process and subsequent project award.

• Monitored and co-ordinated the construction activities with respect to the carpark construction as well as principle liaison between the contractor and mall operations.

• Managed project scope and changes as per the MAF Change Control Procedures.

• Supported both informal and formal schedules to manage the engagement of the contractor.

• Mall of the Emirates Expansion – On Site PM for the management of the additional design packages and design lead design changes as well as coordination with the contractor.

• All Falah Community Mall – Lead Consultant PM responsible for the management of the multi- disciplinary design up to Schematic Design for a new 30,000 GLA community Mall.

• Mediclinic North Wing, Lead Consultant responsible for the management of the multi-disciplinary design up to end of Tender and Award for a new hospital building within DHCC

• Etihad Rail Bid with Rail Alliance – managed the commercial submission for the design component for a JV Contractor

• Etihad Rail Bid with Al Futtaim Carillion – Project Finance Control as logistics manager whereby managed the mobilisation of 30 technical rail professional from UK/Germany and Australia to compile the technical component for the First UAE rail bid. 3

• Al Ain Zoo Park and Report – Project Manager for the Highway, Infrastructure and Landscape for the Zoo re-development and expansion.

• The World – France and Spain – Project Manager for the Lead Consultant up to the SD phase for the design of a new residential development including a 75 key hotel on two islands with a marina.

• Abu Dhabi Tower, Doha – Project Manager for the engineering design of this new 106 storey mixed use tower including a boutique hotel and offices. The Architect was Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill.

Sales and Marketing

Actively participated in supporting the future pipeline of the building and infrastructure business in the capacity of Bid Manager. Central to the success of turning opportunity into project, the main areas of responsibility include the following:

• Bid evaluation – Initially evaluating the scope, technical and commercial viability of the opportunity

• Multi-disciplinary coordination – Across all technical disciplines involved, coordinating the process

• Client liaison – Working closely with the client to understand the expected wants and needs

• Commercial build-up – Compilation and evaluation of fee build-up, with a market back target fee

• Commercial and technical negotiation – Working with the client and business for clarity of offerings. Business Analysis

An integral part of the day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure business. Working side-by-side with the Property Director, honed analytical skills used to capitalised on the evaluation of the business and relevant business metrics. Tasks include:

• Holistic review of financial performance – Monitoring and benchmarking revenue and profit

• Backlog and pipeline analyses – Estimation of future works from new projects and variations

Optus Project: Project Engineer for the Cable and Wireless – Optus consortium in Australia, responsible for the concept design and site management of a number of base sites for the expansion of the Optus Network. In addition, liaised with key personnel such as the Site Acquisition Manager, RF engineer and property consultant, throughout the design process. Involved in all aspects of site acquisition from:

• The proposed viability of selected base candidates.

• Investigation of their structural and planning suitability.

• Upon selection, the base sites design.
