GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Perform conceptual, FEED, Studies, detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes and standards for Oil & Gas facilities.
2. Monitor, verify, monitor, supervised, facilitate, witnessed, review, comment, ensure contract compliance and approve all phases of EPC contractor process engineering/architectural design/construction activities and advises PMC Engineering and Construction Managers of any deficiency.
3. Participate in project engineering studies and discussions on Constructability Review for the 30%, 90% & 100% design packages, Hazard and Operability (HAZOP), Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Project Health, Safety and Environment Review (PHSER) exercises for the project during detailed engineering and ensure recommendations from such reviews obtain client approval as relevant / required.
4. Reviewing and commenting on EPC Contractor’s Deliverables/Submittal’s, Technical Queries, RFI’s, DCN.s, Method Statements, Quality Control Program, Materials and Change Orders etc. during design and construction stages,
5. Undertake regular site visit and providing support to the PMC Construction Manager on design related issues during construction stage and participating in commissioning and post completion activities as required
6. Providing architectural design input, status report and always aware on project delivery milestones.
7. Participate in Regular PMC Technical/Progress Meetings with EPC Contractor and Consultant regarding performance matters.
8. To ensure internal and external submissions meet the issued ITB requirements / tender documents for design objectives, technical compliance, and performance requirements
9. To identify engineering changes as necessitated by design development and ensures project remains fully aware of all potential change and associated issues.
10. Providing and applying in-depth working knowledge from various international codes and standard references such as NBC, IBC, AISC, ASCE, ACI, ASTM, OSHA, ISO 11064, ASHRAE, UPC, NEC or IEEE and NFPA Codes/Standards 1, 45, 80, 90A,101 (Life Safety Code) for Industrial Blast or Non-Blast Resistant Oil & Gas building facilities.
11. Prepare specific design condition and general requirements for plant buildings and its related steel structures.
12. Understanding Building Systems Components such as fireproofing, fire door, access control, HVAC, structural framing and foundations, enclosure systems, plumbing,
lighting, acoustics, safety systems, vertical-circulation elements, electric power, signal systems, building management system (BMS), ADNOC Green Building Guidelines, fire protection and control and Masterkey Systems.
13. Coordinating & clarifying any architectural technical issues i.e. interfaces, changes & modifications with other engineering disciplines (Civil, Electrical, Instrument, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Fire Fighting, Material Handling, Rotating & HVAC engineers).
14. Participate on tender process and review bidding documents in highlighting major areas of potential future discrepancies as well as areas of potential anticipated design difficulties.
15. Reviews all vendor data, solicit specific input from affected disciplines, and verify return comments on 'coded' documents within the allocated timeframe during construction phase.
16. Ensure compliance to all HSE procedures and practices.
