I’ve been a developer, development manager, program manager and group program manager during my 20+ year career. Currently a senior full stack consultant software engineer focused on the Microsoft product line. Particularly strong SQL server experience dealing with large scale database design and implementation issues. Experienced in the SDLC, RAD, Agile and Iterative development. Expert in translating business requirements into technical solutions and developing high quality, secure and scalable solutions. Career Summary.

• Apr 2017 – present: PACS Health, Scottsdale, AZ (Remote Worker) Technical lead responsible for the architecture and complete end to end implementation of the project. This includes o Medical hardware’s embedded control software

o End to end encrypted communication. Construction of a windows self-hosted WCF service (netTcp with certificates) and https for the web portal and web api. Encrypted SQL storage for data at rest.

o Web design and development, MVC, Web API and legacy Web Forms using C#, Entity framework, HTML, Jscript and CSS.

o The system made use of SOLID object-oriented design and development as well as leveraging numerous design patterns for the enterprise integration using DICOM and HL7.

o Automated unit testing. System testing required I create a hospital RIS simulator and automated hardware control software to allow the simulation of real-world continuous use of our system. The simulators enabled testing automation to run 24 * 7 for weeks at a time to ensure stability and reliability requirements were met for all facets of the system.

o VNA simulator hosted in Azure. This DICOM vendor neutral archive allows us to test communication and storage with a multi-terabyte DICOM store.

• 1997 – 2007: Microsoft, Redmond, WA Various jobs: Development Manager - Managed, recruited and mentored a team of developers. Worked closely with business customers and program managers to design, developed and evangelized showcase enterprise IT solutions using Microsoft tools and technologies. Presented solutions at the MS executive briefing center to large corporate customers. Work closely with product groups to improve MS products (SQL and Visual studio). Group Program Manager - Managed a budget of about ~$10 Million and a team of program managers. Responsible for the project management of many concurrent projects from inception to completion. Liaising with various business units, project teams and customers. Helped set up the Microsoft offshore IT division in India. Lived and worked in India for a period of time interviewing and recruiting then getting the hardware and teams up and running. Business intelligence group Data warehousing design and construction. Developing an internal product called METAL (Microsoft extract transformation and load). An Abstraction layer built on top of SSAS which allowed all the internal IT groups to integrate their systems with a centralized corporate data warehouse.

Program Manager - Managed a project team of 10 to 20 cross disciplined people including developers, testers and junior program managers. Responsible for the requirements gathering, functional specifications, design and implementation of a corporate legal tool that managed billions of documents. It could scale up and out as needed by the Microsoft legal team and external law firms to review and prepare documents for legal cases. Senior Developer - Designed and developed various corporate IT solutions for ~70,000 employees. Lead small teams of developers. Logical and physical system and applications design; Logical and physical data modelling and database design, Object oriented design and development.

• 1996 – 1997 Computer People International, Redmond, WA Contract developer for Microsoft.

• 1995 – 1996 Adams Childrenswear, UK Designed and developed a markdown modelling solution. This enabled modelling of potential what-if sales and promotional pricing campaigns. VB & SQL.
