I am a competent HSE professional with 12+ years of experience in HSE Management in variety of sectors in Middle East such as Airports, Mega Roads, Tunnels, Underpasses and Flyover bridges with Multilayer- Multidirectional Interchanges, Infrastructural large scale construction, multiple Micro Tunneling works, construction of Access Shafts, construction of Pumping stations, Kahramaa Qatar General Electricity & Water Cooperation, Substation project, Qatar and other utility services.

I have ample expertise in all forms of Health and Safety Management Systems gained through the practical experience from major projects in Middle East region.

I am currently working as HSE Superintendent with National Contracting Company overseeing the implementation of Qatar power transmission system expansion projects for the past 3+ years. I am handling both administrative related functions including KAHRAMAA HSE related documentation and HSE Site Inspections for the current project. I had also worked with EGIS International, Supervision Consultant for overseeing the implementation of HSE system at P007 C2 Ashghal Expressway Programme for the 2 years, Saudi Binladin Group (SBG) in Saudi Arabia and worked with simplex infrastructures in UAE.

NCC HSE Superintendent is accountable to the HSE Manager/ Engineer and shall have the responsibilities, accountabilities and duties

• Prepare Project HSE plan and Environment Plan as per the KAHRAMAA & WSP Requirements.

The project comprises the construction and upgrade of the section of Al Rayyan Road from west of Olympic Roundabout at the eastern extent of the scheme, together with the construction and upgrading of associated side roads and service road. The Al Rayyan Road Project Phase 1 &2 is designed to upgrade infrastructure, improve connectivity and increase road capacity for the largest municipality in State of Qatar – Al Rayyan. The total length of the improvement scheme is approximately 16.2 km plus 11.4 km of side roads, associated service roads (approximately 16km) of Al Rayyan Road with minor and major junctions), 4 lanes in each direction (plus turning lanes at junctions) with a dividing median along Rayyan Road, Construction of 6 multi-level interchanges, including superstructure construction of the following:-

EGIS Safety Inspector is accountable to the HSE Manager/ Engineer and shall have the responsibilities, accountabilities and duties

• Assist HSE Manager/ Safety Engineer in all HSE related activities as follows.

• Provides administrative related functions for the HSE department including maintenance of databases and tracking registers;

• Organisation of all SHES related documents, procedures, files, training material, booklets etc.;

• Assisting in preparation of Supervision Consultant’s HSE plan and ensure that the plan has been prepared in line with the Client’s and the QCS 2014 and subsequent amendments requirements

• Induct all the staff of the Supervision Consultant and ensure that all the staff of Supervision Consultant is inducted by the Construction Contractor prior to their first visit to the site

• Implement HSE performance management KPI’s, including targets, full and surveillance audits.

• Ensure that works are carried out in a safe manner

• Assist the contractor to manage and mitigate risk activities.

• Produce weekly/monthly safety reports for the Project Manager

• Reviewing and approving all risk assessments and method statements.

• Liaise with the contractor’s supervisory staff and ensure that uniform high standards of safety are maintained across all the work activities

• Bring all project specific HSES matters to the attention of the Construction Contractor and to the Safety Engineer as required

• Monitor safety procedures, determine cause of unsafe condition through procedure review, equipment and facilities inspection, and worker observation with corrective action recommendations provided

• Reporting all incidents including environmental incidents and vehicle incidents / damage, and injuries, near miss incidents, unsafe acts or unsafe conditions that occur in the workplace immediately to their next level of management.

• Keep copies of applicable Qatari laws, specifications and standards and ensure that Supervision Consultant and Construction Contractor are in compliance with all the applicable Qatari laws, specifications and standards.

• Apply all of the HSES rules or requirements for the job/task being performed to the limit of their role/responsibility

• Identify any activities that require environmental permits or other permits and Ensure that the Construction Contractor obtained the environmental permit and required permits prior to the execution of the construction activities and as the construction activities are in progress

• Stopping any unsafe act or task until a safe resolution has been formed

• Carry out site Inspection on regular basis to ensure the proper Implementation / Adherence of Health, Safety and Environment Standards as per company Environment-MS & HSE policy.

• Assist the Project client site HSE Manager in the application of company HSE Policy & HSE Management System for site as well as workshop activities in compliance with International & Local HSE rules and regulation
