Research Achievements
I concluded an independent research project in the forensic biology lab at California State University, Sacramento, under the supervision of Dr. Ruth Ballard. This research evaluated the best storage methods for DNA preservation on cigarette butts from crime scenes. I found that a person’s number of cells in saliva differs from day to day which ended up being a study within the study. This research earned me the Delisle Research Fund, which is awarded to select research groups in the natural sciences.
