Responsible for assisting Physicians on screening patients prior to their planned surgery, making sure that all needed clearances are secured and updated.
Educate the patient and their family about the surgical pathway prior to and post surgery.
Carry out routine preoperative and postoperative orders/nursing care.
Carry out procedures such as staples/sutures removal and wound dressing.
Assist the physician during clinic procedures like cast removal/application, Urodynamic studies, Uroflowmetry, Thomas-spatial Frame adjustments, etc.
Provides total nursing care to all patients: by utilizing effective nursing care interventions; liaises with attending doctors and carry out required treatments/procedures or administration of medications; provides feedback to senior nursing staff or physicians on abnormal /critical observations and initiates appropriate action if needed.

Ensures compliance by all unit staff to hospital policies and procedures and the provision of best in class nursing care; checks that all procedures are performed in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, and protocols, observing and practicing quality and safe delivery of care whilst maintaining the strict observance of hygiene and safety protocols including universal precautions and aseptic technique.
Educate the patient and their family about the surgical pathway prior to and post surgery.
Provides postoperative care to patients, carrying out routine postoperative orders/nursing care.
Assist the physicians during routine rounds and carry out orders/procedures as ordered, such as ECG tracing, blood extractions, blood transfusion, and others
Assist the physician during clinic procedures like cast removal/application, daily wound dressing, removal of staples/sutures/drains/k-wires, change of urinary catheters/gastrostomy tubes, lumbar puncture, chest thoracotomy insertion/removal, and others.
Provides total nursing care to all patients: by utilizing effective nursing care interventions; liaises with attending doctors and carry out required treatments/procedures or administration of medications; provides feedback to physicians on abnormal /critical observations and initiates appropriate action if needed.
Trains and mentors nursing staff, provides orientation, continuous nursing education, performance reviews and objective feedback.
