GUARD FORCE COMMANDER PROFESSIONAL EXPPERIENCE:

- Responsible for the overall supervision and leadership of a 100 member Guard Force, which provides protective services on a 24 hour basis for all facilities, residences and personnel of Embassy Rangoon and associated U.S. Government agencies.

- Assist the Director of Security in ensuring the safety and security of guests, associates and the property.

- Responsible to supervise the training, working and performance of Security Guards and ensure compliance on safety and security policies of the hotel.

- Look after the administration, welfare and man-management of Security Department.

- Capable of running the Security Department independently.

- Efficiently supervise and manage the Security Guards during the shift.

- Train Security Guards in all laid down drills and procedures related to safety and security standards in the hotel.

- Maintain and update all training records as directed by the Director.

- Ensure maintenance and upkeep of all security related equipment in the department.

- Bring into the notice of the Director any security breach by any associate in the hotel.

- Pin point the faults in any equipment to engineering and ensure fault rectification.

- Act as Liaison between the Security Department Administration in the absence of the Director of Security.

- Maintain Liaison with local Police Station, Fire Station and nearest Hospital.

- Deploy Security Guards during the Shift.

- Make periodic ‘Rounds’ of Sentry Posts to check alertness and compliance of Standing Orders.

- Periodically inspect serviceability of firefighting equipment in the hotel.

- Inspect the log of entry and exit of personnel, materials, vehicles and stores at the commencement of duty and at the end of duty.

- Totally accountable for all happenings during the Shift.

- Supervises the activities, schedules, breaks, and shift changes of a 100 member Local Guard Force and mobile patrol unit that provide protection for all Embassy Rangoon personnel and related government facilities to include residences.

- Issues regular and special guard orders, assigns guards to specific posts and duties, and directs them as required.

- Observes the conduct and individual performance of all Guards personnel and enforces good order and discipline in accordance with all Embassy rules and regulations, guard orders, special orders, directives, guides, publications and the laws of the United States.

- Periodically patrols and inspect all posts to ensure guards are performing duties as ordered.

- Renders appropriate security support to all U.S. Embassy security operations and events to include emergencies at the direction of the Regional Security Office.

- Responsible for performing periodic checks of Time and Attendance (T&A) records and monthly expense reports for all Guard members.

- Develops and maintains general and post orders to ensure that they are accurate and up- to-date.

- Responsible for devising a work schedule for all personnel and determining a rotation that allows all personnel to gain familiarity with all facilities ensuring overtime is allotted fairly amongst all personnel.

- Supervises and coordinates the receipt, issue, storage, accountability, serviceability, turn-in, and disposal of all vehicles, equipment, and uniforms assigned to the Guards

- Ensures that all Guards equipment, vehicles and uniforms are inventoried, serviceable, and operational.

- Works with the general public and able to resolve disputes.

- Performs special escort/interpreter duties or other functions as required by the United States Army.

- Discover illicit drugs, explosives, chemicals and other illegal substances

- Find and rescue individuals that are missing or have been kidnapped

- Track and apprehend fugitives fleeing from the law

- Discover cadavers that have been buried or left in the wilderness

- Locate evidence from crime scenes

- Inspect vehicles

- Deter criminals who might otherwise confront or assault a police officer

- Identify people who have been carrying or have been in contact with illegal drugs and controlled substances Cleaning out the dog's kennel, perform routine searches of prisons, jails, public facilities (schools and recreation areas), and vehicles.
