ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Recruit, screen, interview, performs reference checks and coordinate department interviews for hourly candidates while maintaining the applicant flow logs to ensure quality hires and compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. Bring all sensitive employee related information to the attention of the CHR in all instances to limit liability.

Prepare/monitor Payroll Action Forms & input/update ADP new hires, terms, and daily changes to ensure accurate, up-to-date information is available for payroll and management.

Process forms and respond to written and oral inquiries regarding verification of employment, wages, unemployment compensation & worker's compensation claims, in a manner which is consistent and ensure that liability is minimized.

Maintain employee records, files and the Human Resource office systems (Workday). Compile various corporate reports and property reports to provide management with accurate information and comply with corporate policies and procedures as well as government laws and regulations.

Notify all managers monthly of reviews due & track completed reviews to ensure they are given in a timely manner.

Act as a facilitator in the Quality Improvement Process.

Assist in the competitive wage & benefit survey bi-annually.

Keep employee bulletin boards current, including, but not limited to: post memos, pictures of employee events, loss prevention materials.

Attend workers compensation depositions & EDD hearings.

Conduct exit interviews, track trends and complete turnover report in an accurate, timely manner.

Assume the HRD responsibilities in the absence of the DHR & perform special projects as assigned.
