SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (March 2018 to Present)

Lead the cloud migration strategy for 82 internal Fujitsu clients from customer premise equipment to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms. Used planview to manage Agile and Scrum projects for the planning, requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and certification of the new systems. Came up with the strategy, plans, project schedules, and budgets to transfer a “Big Three” U.S. automotive company’s data center to a Cloud-hosted environment. Integral member of the team that migrated over 5,000 applications from the automotive company’s old data center to the Cloud.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (May 2016 to March 2018)

Directed a large scale program to restructure and streamline Amazon’s largest non-sort fulfillment operation that handled over 200,000 shipments weekly. Conducted requirements analysis using Scrum techniques, redesigned the networking infrastructure, optimized pick path procedures, created new systems, and established “best practices” procedures. Developed the project plans, timelines, and overall program budget. Presented the plans to Amazon senior management, obtained their buy-in. Executed the project on-time and under budget.

Implemented the new fulfillment system that cut Amazon shipping costs 20% year over year by eliminating sub-optimal algorithms, reducing unnecessary inventory, and automating previously manual processes.

Mercedes Benz Financial Services (MBFS), Farmington Hills, Michigan

PROJECT MANAGER (May 2015 to May 2016)

Ran the project which rearchitected MBFS’s global contract management and business transformation infrastructure. Collaborated with IT leadership to develop the program roadmap, evaluate technology alternatives, and implemented a new hybrid Cloud framework. Defined the project plan, designed the hardware, software, networking, and database infrastructure, and consolidated the Farmington Hills data center with the central data center in New Jersey.

Spearheaded the hybrid Cloud infrastructure migration, which reduced capital expenditures by 40% and eliminated over $500K in annual operating costs.

Integrated the IBM Watson Artificial Intelligence platform into MBFS’s business intelligence infrastructure saving over $2MM per year in human resource costs.

DTE Energy, Detroit, Michigan

PROJECT MANAGER (August 2013 to May 2015)

In charge of a team of 12 engineers that built an application, running on desktop and mobile devices that provided real-time visualization of Outage, DTE Crew, and DTE assets. The new system was based on the Maximo’s asset management line of products and off-the-shelf Geographic Information System (GIS) software. Directed all project phases including project scope/objectives, planning, scheduling, budget, staffing, development, implementation, and management accountability. Also oversaw a team of 12 utility industry consultants that successfully developed and deployed a “Smart Connect” application based on SAP and Oracle.

Headed up a three-phase project which developed a strategic roadmap for the Advanced Metering Interface (AMI) and Smart Grid system. The new software saved DTE $5MM over three years.

Ford Motor Co., Dearborn, Michigan

PROJECT MANAGER (August 2010 to August 2013)

Supervised a 31-person team of Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) who planned, designed, developed, tested, and implemented Ford’s NA healthcare application, which served employees at 52 plants in 18 countries. Identified cost reduction opportunities and measures to increase productivity by using mobile apps and Cloud computing saving Ford $1.2MM in long term costs.

Southern California Edison (SCE), Rosemead, California

PROJECT MANAGER (June 2000 to August 2010)

Served as the project lead on the AMI smart connect initiative. Supervised a team of 32 onsite and offshore resources that integrated AMI Smart Meter data with SCE’s customer billing system. The project increased company revenue by $5MM a year and had an average value capture of 31%.
