· Process cash receipts on defaulted federal and state supplemental student loans. Reconcile incoming checks with those outgoing to the bank. Identify and ensure checks are posted to the proper accounts.

· Reconcile $400 million annual payments posted to loan accounting system with money deposited to the bank account. Ensure corrections are processed in a timely manner.

Analyze trends for incoming cash receipts across payment type categories and determine amounts to be transferred between accounts on monthly basis.

Calculate amounts to be transferred from lockbox operating account to the bond trustee with specific instructions on how to allocate funds to each bond issue.

Track and prepare the monthly transfer needed between FELP and NJCLASS for deposits posted in the wrong bank account. This information is given to the Assistant Director of FELP and the Assistant Controller of NJCLASS.

Responsible for final decision on approval of student loan applications based on credit history analysis, measurement of debt to income ratio, and verification of sufficient income levels for borrowers or cosigners
