WORK HISTORY:

Dec, 2012 – Oct. 2019 HNTB Corporation (Fulltime) - Senior Business Intelligence Solutions Developer

Located at 715 Kirk Drive, Kansas City, MO 64105.

I was in charge of the Decision Analytics Group’s (DAG) Research and Development environment that was a copy of all of HNTB’s databases except transactional databases. I was their senior developer and acted as several key point positions throughout the life of all the projects and conducted work in manners such as;

Business Analyst - meeting the customer and collecting requirements and ensuring projects met all expectations.

Project Management - keeping everyone informed of the progress by defining and adhering to dates and milestones.

IT Liaison - working directly with IT on topics such as security, code reviews, server loads and installs, methods and procedure concerns that enabled smooth hand offs and promotions

Developer - creating the solutions using all forms of BI software tools including research and evaluations of new emerging technologies

Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing - by conducting review iterations and creating & conducting testing cases

Once a project proved of value and worthy of official use, I then created delivery packages and instructional documents to then pass on to IT in order for them to promote to production. This resulted in IT gaining and maintaining a very strong acceptance even though they were not always very familiar with the various software or technologies used.

Robotics Process Automation (RPA) for instance was one of my latest initiatives that IT was not familiar with at all. Promotions went smoothly and gave no reason for IT to distrust or rework promotion packages in anyway. I started investigating RPA over 4 years ago for a possible technology to add to our tool set. I presented the idea to my manager and his manager, the CFO. After a 6-8 months, I got approval to develop a proof of concept, I researched and developed an RPA ROI form and scheduled meetings with the 37 identified process’s owners to collect all the ROI data points. I then made recommendations based on the forms results and my insight to select several candidates and developed POC for 4 and presented my findings and he POCs to management. I was granted funding to then buy the software and further develop 4 pilots to then promote up to production through IT. I worked with IT in building the required server and load with the enterprise version of the control room. After my development was complete, we promoted them to production and they were running as expected at the time our whole group was disbanded by a new CFO as of 10/08/2019. I had to wear multiple hats in this effort and cross several boundary lines across environments and departments gaining trust and educating everyone to the benefits of this initiative. Additionally, I was busy setting up a center of excellence prior to my leaving HNTB.

The following list details the software and technologies used during employments;
