Managed system conversions, utilization and integrations: (1) at the Newark Group rolled out Oracle EBS financial modules customized using SQL Forms and Reports, and utilized SQL Plus for datamining; (2) at Georgia-Pacific converted locations from legacy and different financial systems into one common system, Infinium financial software; (3) at Smurfit-Stone, established consistent usage and business reporting from previously rolled out SAP modules; (4) at WestRock’s Corrugated Containerboard Packaging Segment, managed the integration of and later converted from Smurfit-Stone’s SAP ledger into JD Edwards ledger and financial systems; and (5) at Soundview Vermont, setup a local mainframe and unique instance of Great Plains.
As turnaround, transaction and implementation consultant: (1) as SVP & GM of Appvion’s Carbonless & Specialty Paper business, reduced OSHA injury rate by 60%, and established and implemented an asset and people capabilities based strategy, moving from ”managing the decline” of (7.9%) to a +5.9% overall revenue CAGR growth; and (2) as COO of newly acquired Soundview Vermont achieved 100% integration, exceeded the acquisition thesis by increasing EBITDA 70% while reducing working capital $1.9 million.
As VP of Business Transformation for Smurfit-Stone, established a $450 million rescaling capital strategy, discrete investments and an operational excellence program, which resulted in a 35% reduction in converting plant footprint, and a $300 million reduction in cost and improvement in EBITDA.
As VP of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement for Georgia-Pacific’s consumer products segment, created a business procurement organization that unified and aligned facility and corporate positions, functions, activities and initiatives that accurately identified and realized facility specific sourcing savings of $90 million.
