Material procurement

Carry out the NDT test on the procured materials and document the same.

Issue the NDT cleared materials to Stores, where the stocks were updated.

Maintenance of Tool Crib and update the details about the tools and other consumable items.

Issue of work orders depending on the requirement.

Issue of process sheets for manufacturing different components which were prepared with the help of machine operators.

Plan the production and process operation depending on the order and depending on the urgency in the Assembly unit.

Testing of final assembled parts in high pressure hydraulic test Rig.

Quality Department:

Stage Inspections – Immediate clearance of the components which involved different operations to achieve 100% production rate.

Project Description

Title : Design and Development of ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC SERVO VALVE (EHSV)

Application : Direction control valves in Aircrafts, Rockets and Missiles


Specification : 54 lpm, 12 lpm, 26 lpm and 80 lpm (under development)

Description : A Servo-Valve is a directional valve, which may be infinitely positioned to provide the additional feature of controlling the amount as well as the direction of fluid flow. When coupled with a proper feedback sensing devices, very accurate control of the position, velocity and acceleration of the actuator can be defined.


Title : Effect of Size and Orientation of Notch on Mechanical Properties of Zircaloy tubes.

Duration : 4 months.

Place :Nuclear Fuel Complex(NFC) Hyderabad.

Team Size: 4 members

Project Description : Artificial notches are made on the Zr4 tubes in both longitudinal and transverse direction. Notches are made of different sizes, which are ranging from 25 to 120 microns on both longitudinal and transverse direction to check the effect of size of notch on mechanical properties of Zr4 tubes. Then, to study the changes in mechanical properties of the materials taken, tensile and hardness tests are performed and results were obtained. Finally the changes are depicted in the form of graphs and conclusions were made from analyzing the results.

Internship (at RCI DRDO)

•A detailed Study was made on the Electro Hydraulic Servo Valve (EHSV) which includes, Production of EHSV, Testing of EHSV and Inspection of EHSV.

•The main of the project was to test the servo vale and suggest the recommendations so that the valve withstands adverse situations during its flight.

•At RCI I was able even model some of the components using the software SOLIDWORKS.

•I was given an opportunity to perform the inspection of the servo valve parts using profile meter and height gauge.
