Organization Profile and Job Resposibilities:

Gas Operations(N.G.L.)-Qatar Petroleum:consists of 4 Trains of Methane, Ethane, Propane, Butane and Natural Gasoline recovery, Acid Gas Recovery Unit and Sulphur Recovery Unit.

Main responsibilities involved are Supervising maintenance of equipment like pumps(centrifugal, reciprocating),booster compressors(turbine driven),chemical dozing pumps, compressors(reciprocating), fin fans, blowers, furnaces gearboxes etc. Maintenance of static equipment like heat exchangers (floating head, fixed tube, u-tube and plate exchangers),columns, vessels, tanks, safety valves, isolation valves (gate, globe, ball, butterfly valves, steam jacketed valves, diaphragm valves etc.). Being Area In charge of plants and associated areas for annual turn around, shutdown work Orders were assessed according to the updated job lists Issued periodically and the shutdown schedules were maintained. The schedules as produced on SAP system were Updated and based on the LOOK AHEAD issued, the jobs were Followed in strict compliance.

Refer the drawings, P&I diagrams, documentations, specifications, bill of quantities and by conducting site surveys and routine inspections to ensure a safe operating plant.

Control and monitoring of all mechanical activities of various contractors to ensures construction to appropriate standards, safe practice, monitoring of contracts to ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions, time schedules, quality of man power supply, etc.

Supervising maintenance of Cold & Hot insulation works, erection of Scaffoldings for plant requirements and Grit blasting & painting works for process lines and equipment.

Involved in running maintenance, predictive maintenance of rotating Equipment like centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, reciprocating compressors etc. and Static equipment i.e. Heat exchangers, valves, loading arms (FMC FRANCE) etc.

Responsible for routine and preventive maintenance mechanical discipline related work, which includes assessment of various work orders, assessment of material and resources and implementation based upon the maintenance weekly schedule issued. The basic work involves maintenance of static and rotating equipment, involves various works related to instrument, electrical and new construction activities, installation and dismantling of access scaffoldings, hot and cold insulation work to facilitate maintenance, protective coating and painting inclusive of grit blasting etc.

The work orders are produced on computerized maintenance package and so are the material requisitions as attached to each individual work order undertaken.
