DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Develop and implements safety program to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions seeks solution to equipment and personal safety engineering problems.

To check the P.P.E (Personal Protective Equipment) at sites specially, for the HOT PERMITS.

To look out for an unsafe act on work site and to issue safety violations ticket to enforce safety rules to be follow strictly.

To see everyone is adhering to safe operating procedures and practices on sites.

To prepare the accident report and submit them to the management concerned with causes, remedies, commits and suggestions.

To keep work place hazard free to prevent accident or any miss case by giving more attention in general housekeeping and maintaining the records.

Inspection of slings, nylon belts, wire ropes, “D” shackles, chain blocks capacities for lifting the load and practicing safe rigging.

To check G.F.C.I ground fault circuit interrupter for electrical equipments.

To make safe & proper storage area for compressed gas cylinders, LPG or flammable chemicals with their proper SMDS (Safety Material Data Sheet).

Inspection of fire hose cabinets, fire extinguishers and other fire fighting equipments in monthly basis and to maintain its records through checklists.

To conduct the monthly inspection of the expiry and pressure gauges of fire extinguishers.

To conduct safety tool box meeting on daily and weekly basis addressing the employees to encourage safe practice in their daily working habits.

Help to encourage and implement safety evacuation planning & safety plans related to different jobs, including hazard chemicals etc.

Fall protection, excavation safety protection like drums, shining stickers, tapes, re-bars.

To check the mobile scaffolding specially - its caster fastening pins, locking access, guard rail, toe board etc before any worker to start his daily work.

To examine the condition of Scaffolding related to its guard rails, toe boards, cross bracing, sills, base plates, diagonal braces and joint connections etc.

Proper care and planning must be taken in Excavation job related to proper shoring, barrigation & luminous with proper caution signage.

To prepare the Risk assessment Plan / COSHH assessment to develop awareness among the workers to use the chemicals in the industry including preparing the risk assessment with pre active measures

Providing the fire fighting training including safety awareness programs for all the employees.

Submission of the monthly reports, records & checklists on safety issues or any incident or any casualty with opinions, suggestions, commits and measures to the Senior Management Authority.

Coordination, Encourage on First-Aid with BLS training to the workers.

To Check the Work Permit for conducting hot work like Grinding, Soldering, Blazing and welding in designated area.

Replenish the medical kits/ boxes with the medicines from time to time.

To conduct drills like fire, H2S or any other disaster, to train the employees to evacuate the area during any emergency without any casualty and the process of reporting.

To conduct Safety Orientation to the new employees introduced in the job sites.

To take pro active measures if any incident or any accident takes place.

To encourage the employees (especially) the drivers to follow Defensive Driving through safety talks and with picture slides.

To educate workers to work safely in height jobs by encouraging them to wear Fall Protection (Safety Belt) while working above 1.8 meters above the ground level.
