KIA MOTORS – AEKIA S.A. Quito - Ecuador 2014 – 2016

Deputy Fleet Manager

Established various strategic alliances that assisted in identifying and securing 6 new fleet customers representing an incremental $2 million in new KIA fleet sales.

Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing fleet sales and management of the government of Ecuador’s $200 million fleet purchases of KIA vehicles. Ensuring compliance in contracts, mitigating risk, and improving internal processes.

Led all the project phases until successful introduction of electric cars to the market and responsible for sales nationwide.

Launched new Technology program of KIA electric vehicles for public and private entities in Ecuador.

GENERAL MOTORS OMNIBUS BB S.A. Quito – Ecuador 2012 – 2014

Service Engineer

Reduced impact for legal action by systematically and attentively addressing customer’s critical warranty issues.

Audited all 74 GM dealers in Ecuador, developed, implemented, and monitored GM’s Dealer Quality Program which resulted in achieving higher GM customer satisfaction ratings.

Organized best-in-class GM Automotive Services Heads from all GM dealerships in Ecuador into a problem-solving team charged with solving critical mechanical and electrical problems in all GM car models.

Developed, led, and managed a successful competition for GM service technicians. Purpose of competition was to evaluate the skills of all dealer technicians in-order-to systematically guarantee prescribed levels of training.

Quality Assurance Engineer 2010 – 2012

Addressed field quality problems identified by customers at 22 GM dealerships.

Responsible for performance quality levels for all Isuzu pick-up and truck models and Suzuki SUV models.

Worked closely with home office sources in Brazil, Japan, and Thailand to execute necessary quality solutions for quality deviations at both the GM plant and at GM dealerships.

Implemented improvements to managing solutions for quality-related problems that arose at both the GM manufacturing plant and with suppliers to the manufacturing plant.

Quality Operations Specialist 2009 - 2010

Identified and implemented processes for packaging materials to avoid damage to manufactured CKD (Complete Knock Down) auto parts. [Note: A CKD automobile is one which is imported or exported in parts and not as one assembled unit].

Developed, and implemented quality improvements in various quality stations, e.g., cabin leaks, noise tracking, final inspection resulting in best quality product assembled and higher customer satisfaction.

Quality Engineering Specialist 2008 – 2009

Successfully implemented quality standards, tools, and job aids for the assembly process; to improve overall quality, safety, and eliminate inconsistencies. As a result, achieved a score of 97% in the GCA (Global Customer Audit).

Quality Group Leader 2007 – 2008

Controlled and monitored processes at 16 verification stations to avoid quality problems in areas such as welding, painting, and general assembly. TPM Leader in assembly plant, responsible for implementing and sustaining process in manufacturing area.

Led and developed teams of quality inspectors (32 total staff) in each plant.

General Assembly Process Controller 2006 – 2007

Represented Assembly in being selected to join the New Products Launch Team.

Developed and implemented standardized output targets at 90 assembly plant workstations.
