I am a young professional Industrial Hygienist who is currently working for the Corp of Engineers in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am looking for the opportunity to learn more about the field of Industrial Hygiene from more experienced Industrial Hygienist especially in the evaluation of facilities and in regard to areas of professional judgment.

Industrial Hygienist (Intern)- United States Army Corp of Engineers 2018-Present

Work as the Industrial Hygienist for the United States Army in the State of New Mexico. Take care of more than

2000 workers in regard to long term health exposure risks and build the Industrial Hygiene Program in the district.

Accomplishments:

1.Basic Characterization

Complete baseline characterization of Corp based facilities in the New Mexico.

2.Noise Sampling

Provide noise sampling for work places run by the Corp in New Mexico. Write and provide reports about

noise exposure in workplaces in area.

3.Ventilation Survey

Provide ventilation sampling in workplaces run by the Corp of Engineers in New Mexico. Provide design and evaluation of current need and standards.

4.Occupational Medicine

Help to determine the manner which workers need to be in a medical surveillance program and help to determine what is the best manner for the Corp.

5.Silica sampling

Help to determine what is the exposures of work force to Silica, based upon the new OSHA standard.

Safety and Health Management- Chicago Transit Authority 2017-2018

Work as part of health and safety office at third largest city in the United States

Accomplishments:

1.Pit Survey

Survey of repair facilities for both rail and bus. The access to get underneath both buses and trains

through access pathways and to determine if they are following the OSHA compliance

2.Standard Operating Procedures for use of Industrial Hygiene Equipment

Short summaries of how to operate and potential troubleshoot issues for common Industrial Hygiene

equipment used by the CTA. This included low flow pumps and calibration, sound level meters, dosimeters

and four gas meters.

3.Silica Planning

As part of the team doing the surveying for Silica standard. Prepared the sampling equipment secondary literature and planning for the sampling that will be done over the summer.

As part of the exposure control plan the University of Illinois offers training to employees who maybe

exposed to blood borne pathogens at work. An attempt by the major presenter to assess the amount of
